H'annit was my first traveler, but she grew on me through sheer noblety of heart. Tressa may be best for theorycrafting and speedruns, but H'annit is best RP immersion character. She is the most well designed character of the game to me. And to all those Tressa fanboys I say: "Standest thou against me? Then be hunted." "Coweren before the huntress!"
Yeah their are certain games where I can rush in and destroy everything like it's nothing, and then their are RPG's which I NEED to take my time with. That's what they are for after all
actually octopath traveler is sold out like everywhere amazon has a 2 month wait period for hard copies its selling much much better than they thought. and the devs said theyd like to make more stuff in this universe so ya its lookn good
cambium101 Do you know if they've changed their minds about not making DLC? I think DLC could be pretty cool with a game like this. Maybe let us travel to the blanked out map up north to a new continent, with more side quests and a new set of optional story chapters to explore. Or free optional outfits that give new ways of gameplay , like what the newest Bayonetta has where you have a Link and Samus costume that actually lets you roll around as a ball or gives new attacks.
No way they won't. This is the 3rd game they've made like this and this one is probably the biggest hit so far. They're definitely going to continue. Preferably with a similar art style :)
I know it isn't as efficient as leghold trap to expend ingredients but afyns concoct < injurous dust + curious Bloom achieves the same effect, and can contribute to ice breaks, and costs no sp)
Leghold trap can give the enemy more turns in a row and make certain bosses able to combo your party to death without you being able to heal up between attacks, so people should be careful with that :)
UA-camrs rush through games like that in order to be the first ones to upload the game's contents in their videos in order to get man subscribers before other UA-camrs. It's a race. Every single time a new game is released.
Kind of annoying too. Everything gets easily spoiled on the internet that way. But it's our choice to watch it, so have at it. I bet there is a video out there telling you how to beat the four super class boss, beat Galdera and get all subclasses and best weapons before anyone's chapter 1. (Sarcasm btw, I know it's impossible to get to Galdera at that point.)
Yeah you gonna explain the build, and how you get that high in damage. What was the point of showing off all those monsters and other attacks that weren’t close to 99,999.
Haanit the huntress is my all time favorite character in Octopath Traveler! I chose her first & she is the lead of my team! Haanit is just such a badass with her Bowen arrows & her Axe! I love her so much! She is such an awesome character!
Started this on Switch mid 2020. I've been stuck on galdera's first form eating my buffs and nuking my team. I've uploaded videos of my recent attempts. 1-2 hours just to try again is draining. I'm angry and irritated. I NEED MORE POWER!!!!
Now I wonder how a Warmaster would work for a Magic user, since specific element buffs on weapons actually DO stack? You could potentially stack a whole rack of them on your strongest magic user & go hog wild. Is this something anyone has tried before?
Congrats on 1000 subs and beating me to the final final boss upload, Richard. Well earned. What do you plan to do next with Octopath / your channel as a whole?
I just got to swarki in the game and was wondering, can you summon the monsters you capture as much as you want after capturing them? It said in the video you can summon them X times, does that mean per battle? That would suck if you spent a ton of time capturing a rare monster just to have it disappear after using it X amount of times.
1) Wouldn't you say some of those beasts are not worth the trouble capturing them? (Like attacking only once like the Giant Gator - other's attack multiple times in a row) 2) Under which circumstances do these beasts respawn? 3) Weapons can break? 4:19
Ohh so miniboss do respawn ? I always wanted those in my pokemon set up lol Also did you ever catch those cait and what's their buff ? i guess three of them must be different I see that that you are also block with staff weapon for physical, i didn't find anything better lol
Is it really worth to farm bosses with H'aanit? I mean, i find summoning beast in real fight quite useless compared to just use warmaster ability (winnehild battlecry does so much dammage, i usually just pump up her bp with a starseer to spam it). I just use beast to provoke, and random monsters you find in chapter 4 area are strong enough to deal with pretty much anyone, and you don't need to spam capture on them for 30 minutes until you finally get them.
It really depends on just how ridiculously min-maxed you want to go. There really isn't anything in the game that requires THAT level of obsession, and damn near any character or party configuration is going to be up to the challenge without THAT much work. This video gets into the "dropping a meteor onto ground zero of a nuclear blast" territory of overkill.
This is an amazing build! Question though, why do you use the battle tested ace when you can use the death cleaver? Battle tested is 350 atk and death is 380 atk. Regardless you still do more damage than me right now haha
so is there any explanation on where H'annit keeps all the monsters she capture? Do all these boss monsters just follow her around or does she call upon them or something like that?
No they don't follow her around but you can see what monsters you have by hitting the dialogue button with no one around in the Jaguar will come up click on it and you'll see what monsters she has or in combat you can see
Question, does this game have difficulty modes? And would you be willing to post more build videos, for all the characters if possible? I won't be able to get the game now, I don't even own a Switch but I do plan on getting this game along with my Switch in the coming future.
Concoct is the best ability in the game period. You can get by with him as an apothecary. But seriously though, the best way to build him is as a physical damage dealer preferably hunter, thief or warrior.
So I just got the game recently and picked H'aanit as my first character. I heard that you can pick more than one subclass, but I did not know that there would be enough job points to max out like four for one character. I will guess that this is approaching level 99 or so? Also, when is it a good time to try to go for the job shrines? I think I may have posted here, but youtube is being dumb rn and I don't see any previous comments that are mine.
Thatguy Line Sweet! I'll go searching for them asap. If you don't mind me asking, what are some great class/job combos for the other 7? Also, know any good places to grind for levels early/mid game? Thanks in advance
Thatguy Line I'll keep those combos in mind and thanks for the link. What about mid game teams? Like before I am leveled enough to take on the secret job shrines?

I have a few questions actually, If you already killed an enemy like the Dire Wolf can you still capture it ever again? And this one is not related to this video but I saw in your advanced job class bosses video's that your healing exceeded max HP with heal more but only clerics have that skill, but you only had 1 or 2 cleric jobs in your party so how did you manage to overheal the other 2 as well?
i am quite sure that "mini bosses" like that respawn, also the passive skills of classes can still be equipped once learned even if you switch job, so to answer your second question every character that have unlocked that skill in the cleric job can still equip it even if they are no longer a cleric

H'aanit best girl.
Absolutely
She is best JRPG girl

Wait, then what’s the point of the accuracy stat? Every other attack always consistently hits.

Mega Man warmaster's fortitude skill can inflate damage to obscene levels that you wont normally see without dedicated setup
nah you're slow. I don't get much time to play due to work and such, and even I'm starting chapter 4 for everyone now.

Yeah you gonna explain the build, and how you get that high in damage. What was the point of showing off all those monsters and other attacks that weren’t close to 99,999.
he shows the build at around 5:00-5:30
Those are just the weapons. Using those weapons doesn't deliver 99,999 damage. Some sequence of events led up to 99,999 damage and that is not shown.
Matt Senne Those weapons with the support skills shown while being at 1 hp will get you very far. Perhaps a break as well.
I'm sorry, is this a guide on achieving 99,999 damage or not? The title indicates it is and I'm looking for details on that. Thanks

Carter Romanofsky its total. So every time one is summoned it ticks down for that capture. Once its at zero, it leaves and youd have to recapture it.

it is only that specific ability (nightmare chimera) that breaks your weapon in order to deal a lot of damage

The beasts are a random encounter in the dungeon you thought them in. Any of the side area boss monster are like this.
