However, it just hit me, Phyllis would have torn a hole big enough to drive a mack truck through had she sung this song. Denise did the thing and she channeled Phyllis but there is nothing like Phyllis. Remember who you are

I remember I was working at a record store back when this came out. They only printed a limited amount of CD's for this album for some reason. After our first shipment of CD's, we could only get the cassette tape version and I remember feeling lucky that I had the CD copy since they weren't printing any more. Then I let a "friend' borrow it and he cracked it somehow, OOOH I was so mad!!... I loved this song then and still do now...thank you for posting a high quality version of it.
I purchased the cassette at Tower Records in Honolulu, Hawaii. Listening to this makes me emotional because back in the day, I thought life was so simple and I would be young forever 🤔

I heard this on 94Q's Jazz Flavors in the late eighties. I left the Masquerade (Atlanta) and was heading back home (Macon) and Russ Davis played this song after Justo Almario and I was blown away. Denise had Phyllis on her mind when she song this.
