    I actually love the vulnerability of this ship. The designers did a great job of representing that fragile, vulnerable spine. Also, now I want to try a list built around all 4 designs you showcased.

    I started out just buying Armada for the models, but after watching your channel I am considering playing the game now. Thank you for your advice and guidance. I hope we see more for Armada. I would love to see some First Order Resurgence and New Republic Nebula SD's.

    I love Nebulons, find it fun when someone thinks there easy to take down and then get a nasty surprise from a 2 crit damage Neb

    I think this ship's survivability would increase if it had a wider front arc.

    I used to use these as sentry turrets. Get close, basically stop and cycle between movement and firing dials. Basically only fit slaved turrets and just used a wall of them. It was a gimmick fleet but the neb was a fantastic reaction/reponse ship. I used to joke that I was gonna glue 2 of them together and call it a star destroyer.

    Never underestimate the power of red dice attacks. At long range a nebulon can be as deadly as an ISD. Since it came out I’ve been stapling auxiliary shields on these guys.

    I'd love to see a reprint or update where the support version has a fleet support slot.

    Thank you for the ship analysis. I like the Escort variant as my anti-squadron ship, i keep it sandwiched between 2 ships to protect it.

    I wonder when will start to see more big ships like the nebulon as just minor settings not big focal points like Gidion's Cruzer.

    I don't think Heavy Fire Zone gives you increased range it says," While attacking a squadron,before you gather dice,if the defender is not engaged with a friendly squadron,you may replace all of the blue dice in your anti-squadron armament with red dice."In order for you to use these red dice at long range,you would have to change the color of the dice before you judge range.The cards effect takes place after measuring range during the attack step,also this card is way too cheep to give such an advantage.
    Please everyone make Crabbok aware of this,he needs to know so he doesn't keep teaching it incorrectly to others!

      The attack is only cancelled if you have no dice after the gather dice step. Same general principle as an ignition attack.

    • @MrMightymaxwell
      @MrMightymaxwell 2 роки тому +2

      I don’t know if Crabbok will explain, but basically an FAQ for this card clarified it does modify the range of your flak attack. It’s definitely not worded the best, but I believe that’s the official intention of the card: to flak squadrons at long range.

    • @spastictreefrog
      @spastictreefrog 2 роки тому

      @@MrMightymaxwell Thank you for the clarification I will look into that,I agree with you they shouldn't write it like that if that was the intention.You get used to being very legalistic with the rules then they are just like Google enough."😞

    i mean, doesnt Redemption say distance 1 -5 .... the ship itself isnt at distance one of itself... its basicly distance 0. surely it doesnt get it itself, that makes 0 sense.

    • @Crabbok
      @Crabbok  2 роки тому

      In Armada Distance 0 doesn't exist. So distance 1 includes yourself and everything within that circle. Look at Toryn Far for example - she also has a range bubble but specifies OTHER friendly ships, such that she can't work for her own ship.

    Yavaris is a perfect example of my biggest gripe about this company/game. If a card is considered overpowered why not add a card to counter it rather than changing the card? Changing a card that many people went out of their way to buy is quite frankly disrespectful. Essentially they took the money but didn't give you what you bought. That's a pretty low blow.

    • @PetersaberHD
      @PetersaberHD 2 роки тому +1

      Because you'd be creating a rock-paper-scissors type of a situation, except with hundreds of objects. Yavaris already had more than one "card counter" - most notably Slicer Tools.
      The other reason is that there were quite a few "auto include" cards. They wanted to DECREASE the amount of such cards. Implementing card-counters to what is commonly considered OP would INCREASE the number of "auto include" cards.

    • @isthisit781
      @isthisit781 2 роки тому +1

      @@PetersaberHD their solution was essentially to steal value from paying customers instead.

      @@isthisit781 any nerf is, doesn't matter if direct or by another card.
      Are you seriously going to argue monetary value loss over a medium-sized nerf?
      Did you miss the part where flotillas were nerfed by making them limited to two per fleet BECAUSE people used to run six?

    • @isthisit781
      @isthisit781 2 роки тому

      @@PetersaberHD I'll always argue ethics, but a card to counter a strategy isn't the same as changing the way a card actually works. A nerf is more like removing a die from a firing arc, it directly weakens the card. A counter strategy doesn't take anything away but rather makes the game more complex. To answer your second question, no I didn't miss the flotilla nerf, I wasn't thrilled with it either. I spent hundreds on this game, as do most players, and had plans of buying yavaris. Thankfully I didn't. I've stopped buying from them due to the lost value. I will still play casually but won't purchase any more.

    • @PetersaberHD
      @PetersaberHD 2 роки тому

      @@isthisit781 in that case, you just shouldn't play anything competetive. There will always be balance changes, and power creep is the wrong answer, and so are hard counters.
