My wife just bought a 2024 SX Turbo version in the Pluton blue color. With the turbo version we don't have to deal with the stop/start feature as only the smaller engine has that feature. She loves this vehicle so far!
Definitely is! Already seeing mark ups in the Kia dealerships near me lol they been very popular here in Florida. This Refreshed model will be even more popular!
Lauren the power train warranty is 10 yrs 100K . At 1:31 you stated 5 yr 60K. That's the bumper to bumper warranty. Just shows I'm actually paying attention to you .
Korean variant has the blind spot cameras and with that a 360 view. I just bought one of these, SX trim, and it's one feature I wish that made it into a US version. Also Korean variant gets HUD, and the new fancy rotary shifter like you see in the sprotage. Maybe in the 2025 model... Other then that though, I love the car. It drives so good. car feels so planted on the road, good power delivery, good cornering, love all the tech. Excellent value and IMHO probably the best in this segment.
My car I was going to get was the Hyundai Tucson, or they kia sportage but when the sales guy showed me this WOW I just went to test drive one today I luv it
Thank you for the review. The 2024 KIA Seltos is beautiful, especially the new Pluton Blue colour. Is the turn signal/blind spot monitor available in the higher trim levels? That's an excellent feature.
Greetings from oakville Ontario I really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing this crossover here especially when I can get the 1.6 litre engine with the 8spd automatic
@CarCoachReports: Do you feel 146hp with the 2.0L engine is adequate? Is the CVVT compensating for what may seem a rather weak engine for this car size? Thanks!
I traded in my Mini Cooper for the 2.0 model. I test drove both the 1.6 Turbo and 2.0 models. 1.6 was fun but not as good on fuel economy. To me there is only a slight difference in acceleration with the 2.0 but much better on fuel. Been driving it for a week and it's a very easy car to drive. I drive a lot every day in rural Oregon areas and consistently have to pull out from a full stop on dirt roads onto highways where cars are going 60 mph. It handles it with ease.
Please always mention location you are reviewing from for your new users. I have watched whome video only to realize that infotainment system is not same in EX trim in Canada. This one is EX premium trim in Canada.
What's also nice about the 1.6 turbo beyond the extra power is they replaced the balky DCT with a traditional 8-speed auto. Same for the Hyundai Kona. TBH I think the 2024 refreshed Kona looks better!
Very good video full of useful information. Keep up the great work. I'm glad you drove the EX with the sunroof. How is the room in the backseat for the average person? One main problem with sub-compact SUV's is the lack of legroom for the passengers. I read this car DOES NOT support wireless CarPlay. What a huge disappointment. That feature should be standard these days.
H/K/G cannot give you wireless AA & AC with the built-in navigation on the higher trims due to the "contract" with Tom-Tom. H/K/G is correcting this issue with the all new 2024 Sante Fe.
@@CarCoachReports Hyundai has an engineering and design center in Germany, right nrear Nurburgring and their friends over at Daimler Benz. Quality is an issue, only if you buy from the little 3....💰🤑💥🤣🤣🤣
when you drive with full open window air hit your ear deflected from roof support post?? I have Honda Civic coupe and you can drive on highway with open window and air will not blow into yours ear.... Suspension is hard like in Honda or soft as USA cars???
Conspicuously missing from this review is that the Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support is WIRED-only. Nowadays, all car reviews should explicitly mention whether or not wireless AA/AC is supported, so we don't have to go through the manufacturer's website to find for ourselves. What's really a shame and puzzling is that wireless AA/AC is missing from Hyundai's/Kia's premium infotainment systems. For example, the fact that their outgoing Palisade/Telluride models had wireless AA/AC in their standard infotainment but not their premium one was even more puzzling and unnerving... and now it's not even an option. More = Less. In general, this seems like a pervasive theme, not just in auto design ... give people ALMOST everything they'd want, and leave them wanting the next better thing.
Good review, Lauren........but you missed one very important point. The one BIG problem on the SX model is that they force the stiff-riding 18" wheels and 45 series tires on you...there is no way around it. The EX, with 17" wheels and 55-series tires, rides noticeably better over bumps and irregularities. Why can't the SX come standard with the LX wheels and just make the stiffer-riding 45s an option? Some buyers like the SX's features, but prefer a softer ride and more comfort. The turbo engine in the SX also makes more noise at lower RPM than the EX's normally aspirated four.
You got it backwards, Lauren. 5yr warranty is on vehicle, 10 yr on powertrain. Value for your money is hallmark of Toyota, Kia, Hyundai , and Mazda. Unlike the old, boring, overrated, overpriced Honda junk. 🤑💰🤮
Correction - power train warranty is 10 yrs 100K miles

Yes. Its a trade off. Bigger screen. No wireless. Halogen headlights, but digital gauge cluster. I'm on with it as it's a great value for this segment

Yeah, a 10 year warranty they won't honor and poor reliability all around. They make good looking cars but they don't hold up. Ask me how I know.
Only thing I’m not crazy about on the car are the wheels.
