C'mon, Welcome to Nanna and Addie!
Had a thought, and that's usually pretty scary at my age!! Your raging torrent of a stream, could outlets be dug and directed downstream past the area you drive across? As you are driving to the crossing you always show how angry the waters are before they get to the crossing. Could you put in a large culvert going right to left across the drive, and a ditch meeting up with the stream BELOW the crossing! That could lessen the amount of water the crossing has to handle, and might make it still able to be crossed!
While not cheap, it would be a lot less than the steel bridge you were going to build! Could work! Or at least lessen the time it is unpassable! ❤❤
