Y'all really have no idea how gassed I am to be on the cinestill team. So glad u guys let me run around and bother everyone for a WHOLE day for this viddy 🥺👉🏼👈🏼
When I got into film photography I asked around my family before buying a camera. Turns out my uncle had a Minolta maxxum 7000 sitting in a closet with expired film and a 50mm 1.7 lens. It was everything I needed to get started and now that he’s passed away it holds a special place and is something I could never get rid of
My favorite film camera is the Hasselblad why because it’s made me a living and brought me incredible success as a professional Fashion photographer in LA and the world!
My canonet ql17 for now it shoots, my fujica stx-1 cause it was the first film camera i picked up and inherited from my grandad after he passed away, kick started my love of film and i haven’t stopped shooting since
My fave film camera is my favorite for sentimental reasons, as are some of your choices! My grandfather gave me his old Nikon F when I started shooting film my freshman year of college. I've recently started processing film rolls of his that have sat in a box undisturbed and undeveloped for nearly 55 years! It's amazing to see images he can't even remember taking and knowing that I now shoot with the same camera.
My favorite would have to be my Mamiya RB67. Is it big and heavy? Yes. Am I crazy for doing hikes with it in my left hand. Probably. But I love it because everywhere I take it, it forces me to slow down and enjoy my surroundings. The RB67 has caused me to not only change how I view photography but in turn also change how I view life.
Hands down my favorite film camera is my Olympus XA, focusing on the range finder is so difficult but when you nail it, the photo is just beyond your expectations!!!
My favorite camera is the Olympus OM1 that I got as a graduation gift in 1976. I still have it and it works great! I have the 50mm f1.4, 50mm f3.5 Macro with extension tube for 1:1 Macro shots. Also I have the 100mm f2.8 for portraiture, a 28mm and 24mm f2.8 for landscapes and a 300 f4.5 I use for sports and whatever. SO MUCH FUN to use and the images are SHARP! I even use these lenses on my Sony A9 and the results are Fantastic!
My favourite film camera is the Mamiya C330! It's my first TLR and I love it! It's really neat looking camera, and I use the F2.8 80mm Blue Dot lens with it.
love the video, quite a diverse range of favourites, I have Autism, and my favourite is the Linhof Technika series 4x5/5x7" cameras, they are compact, as they fold up for transport, have movements, a coupled rangefinder (cams under the focus track), an anatomical grip to hold them, and I love the back screen, is on a ring, so changing orientations is a snap, and the flip-out hoods are a great idea to save you if you forgot the focus cloth. one other thing it has a medieval crest/sheild style logo, and the history of all the models.
You guys at CineStill are doing an amazing job with your videos! There's a lot to learn from them and all so fun. My favourite camera so far is the Nikon FM2, I'm so in love with it that I bought a lot of of lenses for it in the past year. All I'm missing is shooting some of your film with it here in my country, Bolivia!
gotta love an old Soviet SLR. I've shot dozens of rolls on my Zenith-E, and just recently got my hands on a Zenith-12XP. And I might have my eyes on a Zenith-80 for some medium format
I love the lady who said that a waist level viewfinder teaches you to see the world differently. I first used a Rolleicord tlr when I was 16 years old in 1961. I use a 1957 Yashica Mat now. Brighter viewfinder than the Rolleicords. I love that Rolleiflex 66 with those Schneider lenses. I also carry an Olympus Af1 Infinity with the super sharp 35mm f2. 8 lens.
My favorite film camera is definitely my MAMIYA RB67!!!!!! It’s heavy but I love how it feels in my hands and I love how many beautiful mistakes you can make while shooting with it! I’ve taken some of my best photos on my RB and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
Great to hear all the perspectives. My favorite film camera (& the one I will never give up) is the Canon AE-1 Program. The camera was used by my father in film school & gifted to me when I was 8 years old. It was the first film camera I ever used and I know that thing like the back of my hand. I shoot mostly medium format these days on the RZ67, but the AE-1 P has a forever place in my heart.
My favorite film camera as of now is my Minolta SRT-101, it was my intro to 35mm and now have 3! My first one broke sadly, but was able to get my hands on 2 more at a bargain. Such a rugged feel and simple mechanics. I love it!
My favorite film camera is my Mamiya RB67, it’s my first ever medium format camera and I’ve created so many beautiful photos with it. Glad that you guys are really engaging the film photography community 🙏🏼
My favorite film-camera is the Canon A-1. My dad gave it to me, after I got back into photography. The start of it all, was the Helios 44 lens I found on my grandpa's old camera. I used that on digital for a while, before getting the urge to shoot film. Now the A-1 with the helios are my absolute favorite setup, and I come back to them no matter what gear I try out.
My current favorite is a Zeiss Ikon Contessa from the 50's that I recently found kinda hidden in an antique shop. It was in fantastic condition but affordable. I hadn't shot film since I was a child and had never loaded a roll before, but this camera made it all such a unique and enjoyable experience! I look forward to shooting some CineStill soon.
Like most of you I got quite a collection and had even more, but my favourite is the Nikon F with eye level view finder and a pre Ai 24mm f2.8 or a 35mm or 50mm f2. Best hand, ing camera and I just love how it is designed with all the Nikon SP and Contax Zeiss (that your take off half the camera to change a film) heritage.
Nikon N80, my first film camera, I am still learning how to use it. I fell in love with film, the anticipation of how the photos turn out, going to my local film store, the community, and the feel of something real compared to digital. It really makes it a process that has been a great calming experience.
My favourite has to be my Nikon FM. Super cheap, and has given me some of my most treasured images. So simple to use and feels properly weighty in the hands.
Interesting to see what everyone uses. For me, it’s the Olympus OM-2. I like Zuiko lenses, and since I’m used to shooting aperture priority with digital, it was easy to switch back to the OM-2 to shoot film with aperture priority. Plus the camera has a great tactile quality to it.
Agree with Koltin. The Nikon F2 is my all time favourite from my Nikon collection. I love the design of my F3 (and the buttery smooth film advances) but love the all mechanical function of the F2.
Same! Really easy to use and basically you can shoot anything with it also has a wide variety of FD lens options. Only downside is that it is battery operated.
I started taking film pics in the early sixties with a brownie and then bought a Konica t3 with my paper route money around 1966. Found another t3 a few years ago and am now back to shooting film. Konica lenses are very sharp and I get great shots while bringing back great memories. Keep up the great work.
After trying out various film cameras, I fell in love with my Mamiya 7 shooting with the 80mm F4 lens. I enjoy the outdoors, and I love the look of medium format. So the Mamiya 7 was a perfect match for my style of photography.
My dad gifted me his canon ae1 from when he was in school. And it's the one I carry with me everywhere. It's black with the brass showing so it looks awesome as well, and fun to shoot with.
I'm partial to the Minolta x-700. Used one for almost 20 years before making the switch to digital. Still have 2 of them that I pull out occasionally though my Bronica EC-TL is my used film camera these days.
The Mamiya 6 is my favourite film camera. I've owned mine since 2004, and although it's beaten up, it's fairly reliable. The three lens are just fantastic. When paired with the Mamiya Auto Close-Up Lens, it's a great combination for semi-macro work.
my personal favorite film and it's my first one that i own is Fujica Drive. it's a half frame zone focus camera, fit to my pocket, and it's always there when i need to take a certain moment.
Favorite film camera is Nikkormat FTN Just stumbled across this video as a you may also like suggestions.. boy were they correct. I am looking forward to checking out more content from this channel.
My favorite film camera is my Minolta CLE with a 40mm f2. I bought it Japan and it makes me appreciate with film photography. My dad use to let me shoot on its Yashica F-something when I was young. This one too is special to me.
I always enjoy these sort of videos. It's good to see a wide range of film cameras, and people genuinely happy to use them. Mamiya and/or Leica aren't the only companies that have made some really great cameras. That being said, however, I have really enjoyed my Mamiya 645 a lot more than anticipated. From it's portability to it's ground glass, it's currently my favorite.
I love my Pentax 67 as well! It took some time to get use to it's superior weight but I am always amazed at how well it performs! I am always able to capture the vision in my head with that beast!
Great video! I love film cameras, and the favourite one I ever used was the Leica R4 MOT What an amazing piece of technology, and the lenses made people think that you were using medium format, they were so sharp and contrasty. The favourite camera that I actually owned was The Contax 139. Beautifully made, and with Zeiss lenses available.
Awesome video. That custom camera and that Rollei 6x6 are beautiful. My favorite camera is my Leica R4. Given to me by my mentor and many rolls of BWXX have been run through it. Love the long throw on the 35 Summicron-R.
My favorite film camera as of now is the canon AE-1, ik it's a basic choice and most of the people who shoot film has used it at least once. But apart from my grandfather Fujica ST705 this camera taught me everything I know about film and about photography, I also love the variety of lenses you can find. It's my ride or die.
Loved seeing the variety of cameras and the diverse group of people behind CiniStill. My favourite film camera is my Nikon FM2. Its one of my first cameras ever and its the one I learned the most on. Great video :D
I loved seeing everyone’s favorite cameras! I’m a film newbie, still working on getting to know my camera. My favorite camera so far is the Pentax K1000 because it’s simple to use.
That homemade TLR is nuts! Favorite get stuff done camera for me is the Nikon F3 but my every day carry is my Leica II with a collapsible Elmar 3.5. Love that thing.
Love lot's of cameras, but my favourite is a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 518/16 folding camera. It's a pocket sized, square format, medium format camera from the same decade as me. (1950's)
Thank You for producing such amazing videos with content that helps all range of photographers in a light and fun way that captivate us every second. Really dig this Channel!! Super professional and super clarifying! And... my favourite film camera is also the PENTAX 6X7!
After having gone through so may different film cameras, the one I can't go without is my Fuji GW690II. Those 6x9 negatives are a sight to behold, plus even though it is comically large it is relatively light and easy to travel with.
Hello! I really enjoyed getting to see everyone's favorite camera! My favorite camera (as of a few months ago) is the Olympus XA. It has really helped me gain an appreciation for street/landscape photography! Plus, I love that I can throw it in my pocket or crossbody bag whenever I leave my apartment and not have to worry about whether or not I can bring the camera wherever it is that I'm going!
My favorite, this is so hard since I love so many cameras, but it would be my Leica m6. It’s a beautiful little cameras that makes you want to take it everywhere, and also gets you excited to take pictures! You have to have a camera to take a picture (duh), and a camera you always want to take it to everywhere would be the best camera!
My favorite film camera is the Ftb ql. I have my dads old camera and it’s a joy to use. He shot with it in South-East Asia when he was younger and since I grew up there I’d love to go back and shoot with the camera myself.
My favorite film camera right now is the Canonet QL17-L. It is actually exactly the same as the QL17-III but since it's not that known it goes for less :) Love the size of it.
My fav film camera is a Rollei 35s which belongs to my mom. It’s been in the family since forever and I played with it as a kid but never really shot it. I only started shooting with this camera about 18 months ago and boy, it’s amazing! The size, the mechanic, the operation; I could find no fault for it whatsoever ❤️
my fav film camera is my Nikon fm. I love that it doesn’t need batteries unless you’re using the built in meter. having not to carry extra batteries is always a plus. it was also a gift from a loved one and my intro to film. will forever be my fav
The best thing about film photography is the range of cameras you have to choose from, different formats and different ways of shooting. My favourite will always be my RB67 though can’t beat 6x7 negs.
Great video, CineStill seems like an awesome place to work with a good crew. For me my favorite film camera is the Nikon FE camera. It's all that I need perfectly executed and nothing more. Matchstick metering is perfect for me along with the vast lens selection. Honorable mention to the Bronica ETR, and F3 bodies.
My favourite film-camera is the Mamiya RB 67. Got it very cheap and with a 127mm lens. It's a very sharp lens and pretty much usable to frame just what you want.
my favourite film camera is my Minolta XG-9. It was the first camera I ever shot on starting in April this year and is still my daily driver. My mom shot a lot of my childhood photos on it and now it’s what I create my art with so it holds a very special place for me.
What a cool crew to work with! It's so hard to decide, but my favorite film camera is probably the Olympus OM-4. It's so compact, and the multi-spot metering is absolutely mind-boggling-it's hard to use anything else after you get used to it!
Recently started with film by purchasing an olympus point and shoot and taking baby steps so thinking about my favorites canon A1 or Nikon f3 for 35mm and for 120 the expensive Pentax's and Mamiya's 6x7❤️
I love my hasselbad 500c! This is my first medium format camera and I love it when I got my hands-on, the design itself is such an art piece! Also the shutter sound! Every time when I hit the shutter on my camera, it is just such an enjoyment!
My favorite would most likely be my Pentacon sixTL, I've had so much fun with that camera and the lenses are wonderful to use. Shooting 120 Cinestill 800T is always a pleasure on it.
Subscribed! My favourite film camera is my Hasselblad 500CM. I tried a lot of different cameras I could borrow at Glasgow school of art. The Hasselblad was the one that spoke to me. It’s incredible sound and feel. The amazing Zeiss lenses. I have put thousands of rolls through it, making photographs on different projects in different countries.
This was such a great clip, the enthusiasm of the team really shows! My favourite camera is the Nikon F3HP, it's simple, reliable and it has a light meter (which I need because I know better than to trust my best judgement). The heft of it and the satisfying shutter sound makes it feel like an event to take a picture with it and that really helps me stay in the moment. As far as 120 goes I was lucky enough to pick up a Mamiya 645 1000S in great condition, I'm still learning how to make the most of it, but that camera really helps slow down my process and stay focused.
I don't know if I'll ever love any camera as much as my Super Ricohflex. It's the first camera I've ever repaired as well as my first medium format camera. Most other film shooters seem to assume it's a piece of junk when they initially see me carrying it around, but even as my collection of cameras has grown, I have never stopped taking it out and using it.
I have two favorites: my Nikon FE and Rolleicord III. They both are beautiful machines with great engineering that feel good in the hands. The Nikon is my top right now because I know it well enough to consistently get great images. I'm still learning the Rolleicord and am getting 2-3 technically good images per 12 exposure roll. Great hobby!
So my favourite film camera of all time is my Leica M2 with the Voigtländer Color Skopar Pancake 35mm f2.5. Sold like one of my kidneys for it to a camera shop in berlin we all know. But it was definitely worth it!
Fantastic video as always! Hate to be that guy but it's the Nikon F3P for me. Its super tough as I tend to pound on it and it never fails me. It's just a pleasure to shoot and I think about shooting it all day long.
My favorite camera in my collection is my Nikon FM 35mm SLR. It is the very first 35mm film SLR camera I bought back in 1980. Excellent build quality and very easy to use with the LED exposure indicators. shutter speed, and lens aperture visible in the viewfinder. Second favorite is my Nikon F (circa 1971) it is a heavy 'tank' of a camera not quite as handy as the FM in operation but very fun to use and an iconic camera.
My favorite camera has been my recently acquired leica m6. Have a voigtlander 35mm nokton on it. I took it with me on a multi day backpacking trip and the results just blew me away. The design quality is like no other. Great video!
My favorite film camera is my very first film camera, the Canon FTb QL. It's mechanical, super affordable, and has a ton of lens options for whatever style of photos you want to create. I have bought 3 since getting into film and combined I have less than $150 in all three bodies. Also the quickload feature is super nice for noobs like me 😬😂
I like the Mamiya RB67! Mine has a tower finder, takes 645,6x6,6x7and 6x8 backs. I adapted it to take view camera lenses to lighten it's travel weight. I like that the back rotates to both vertical and horizontal formats.
My first film experience was with a throw away point and shoot and soon after I bought the Yashica FX-3 Super at an online auction for cheap. Since then I got really into photography over the last couple years, and bought a Karl Zeiss lens for it which is very nice. After that some film cameras have come and go but my good old Yashica I will never let go❤️
Mine is my Pentax K1000. It was loaned to me for my 1st film photography class over 20 years ago by a classmate that never returned to class. I also shoot a Canon AE-1 but find myself constantly taking my Pentax instead. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Favorite cameras to use for me is the AL-1 and my two point and shoot cameras are the Canon 90Uii (tiny), and the FUJI DL400-TELE. All cameras that I got dirt cheap but super fun to shoot.
Like most people, my favorite is for sentimental reasons, the classic Canon AE-1 was the first camera I bought for my art 135 course and I still have it to this day. Although it doesn’t get much use since Im currently addicted to medium format film, I still keep it around just in case I have the itch for a mechanical-ish 35mm.
I loved this video! I’m big fan of linus’s projects My favorite film camera is Canon A-1. It's a slr camera, so I can see exactly what I'm shooting. I like that the functions are intuitive and easy to use. And the black body is really COOL.
hey! my favorite film camera is the olympus m-1! (later becoming the “om”-1 instead) It was given to me by my grandfather who shot with it all over the world for time mag. olympus discontinued the m series after a lawsuit from leica, because they made their m series first. love the story this camera has with leica, my grandfather, and now me!
Y'all really have no idea how gassed I am to be on the cinestill team. So glad u guys let me run around and bother everyone for a WHOLE day for this viddy 🥺👉🏼👈🏼
❤ now... back to work!
@@CineStillFilm im going im gooooingggg

gotta love an old Soviet SLR. I've shot dozens of rolls on my Zenith-E, and just recently got my hands on a Zenith-12XP. And I might have my eyes on a Zenith-80 for some medium format

really sad no one picked the budweiser camera as their fave
🤣
Minolta x-700 my first and favorite film camera, love that it’s fully manual and compact!

My favorite film-camera is the Canon A-1.

canon ae1 program, first camera that was handed down to me from my dad 10 years ago. got me into film ever since
Nikon FM3A became my go to camera years ago. It's easy to carry around, it's like a tank, can shoot 100% manually.
I love the Konica Hexar AF super silent
My current favorite is a Zeiss Ikon Contessa from the 50's that I recently found kinda hidden in an antique shop. It was in fantastic condition but affordable. I hadn't shot film since I was a child and had never loaded a roll before, but this camera made it all such a unique and enjoyable experience! I look forward to shooting some CineStill soon.
The Contessa my first camera in 1975! My dad gave it to me when I was 12, to get started in photography. Wonderful folder with a sharp Tessar lens! 👍😎
Like most of you I got quite a collection and had even more, but my favourite is the Nikon F with eye level view finder and a pre Ai 24mm f2.8 or a 35mm or 50mm f2. Got to agree with Linus on this one I love my Pentax 67 sooooo much. It goes everywhere with me and it’s a joy to shoot
My favorite camera is gonna have to be my Canon A-1, I just love the sleek black look and images it produces.

Is it a full black ae-1? Those are rare!

Hi guys! Nice selection of cameras! My favourite film camera is the Olympus OM2n. Have a good one!
Defjnitely my RB + the 127. I feel like it’s changed my perspective on photography and I have gotten some of my favorite images on it ✌🏼
Favorite film camera is Nikkormat FTN

I love my Pentax 67 as well! It took some time to get use to it's superior weight but I am always amazed at how well it performs! I am always able to capture the vision in my head with that beast!
Great video! I love film cameras, and the favourite one I ever used was the Leica R4 MOT What an amazing piece of technology, and the lenses made people think that you were using medium format, they were so sharp and contrasty. The favourite camera that I actually owned was The Contax 139. Beautifully made, and with Zeiss lenses available.
Tough choice! Its a close tie between my canon p and my canon new f-1.
Awesome video. That custom camera and that Rollei 6x6 are beautiful. My favorite camera is my Leica R4. Given to me by my mentor and many rolls of BWXX have been run through it. Love the long throw on the 35 Summicron-R.
3:11 This portrait is seriously amazing. Also that camera Brandon made is mind blowing.
My Minolta X-370 it was my first SLR & for medium format honestly I love my Holga 120N.
Leica M2. Looks good. Easy to operate. Great pix. The One I use most often. 😊
So cool seeing all of your guy's favourite cameras. My favourite one is the canon F1 old. I love having an SLR with the legendary Canon FD lenses😍
The F1 is a beautiful camera! 👍
I love that it doesn’t need batteries unless you’re using the built in meter. having not to carry extra batteries is always a plus. it was also a gift from a loved one and my intro to film. will forever be my fav
my favorite film camera is my Contax G2. i love the ergonomics, its beautifully designed and fun to use, and the lenes are insane
The best thing about film photography is the range of cameras you have to choose from, different formats and different ways of shooting. My favourite will always be my RB67 though can’t beat 6x7 negs.
Absolutely fantastic. My favourite is my Canon F1, of which I have 3.
👍👍👍
I think the Minolta X-700 has to be my favorite, it just works!
I’m loving my first medium format it’s called a Ciro flex real cool camera
OM-4 very quickly becomes a very intuitive camera to use.
Recently got a Minolta hi matic af2 and it’s such a cool and fun little point and shoot
Nice combination 👍
Also the quickload feature is super nice for noobs like me 😬😂
My favorite film camera right now is my canon eos 1v hs. It's a beast for event photography and action sports. Thanks for a great video!
I’m big fan of linus’s projects
My favorite film camera is Canon A-1.
