Sure good initiative, but the patient still had a lot of strength to get up, what if it were patients with a lower degree of mobility?. But like I said it's a great initiative.

the Sara Lite would be a better solution, it’s an electrical hoist very similar to the Sara Stedy and it uses a belt and handles which sort of act as leverage and once you press an arrow the patient is slowly brought upwards

So do you lower underwear/pad and raise nightwear just before they sit on the comode?

These are brilliant, except when the patient does not understand English and what you are doing.

wouldn't it make more sense to keep the Sara steady in place during the toilet use? it seems to keep the legs lifted higher like the squat-a-potty

Richard Leal personally I would of left it there too. She was to short for the toilet and that kept her legs in place x

Raising the commode lid would be a good feature, too!😊

Err… it’s a demonstration. I don’t think she’s going to take an actual dump on video for us 🙄

I think it's ok to leave the lid down for the demonstration.

I find the fact that someone needs to wear rubber gloves to help a disabled person dehumanizing. When are medical equipment developers going to start considering the dignity of disabled people. This product would not work for me. I do not think the products are even made with people who have disabilities in mind. The person demonstrating does not have problems standing from sitting and does not require the aid of this device.
