  • We started our Coastal Karnataka tour from Mangalore and went to Udupi then Kundapur then Gokarna followed by tour to Yellapur.
Dates of this tour - we started this tour on 3rd week of November and we reached back on 2nd week of December 2020.
In this episode you will see information about Siddis. They are people of African origin. In the 16th century - Arabs brought some Africans along with them to India,
Arabs brought them to India as porters in the ship, Initially they settled in Goa, but later on they moved to forest areas of Karnataka.
They stayed in forest area for 250 to 300 years and post Independence they started to settle down near city areas and children in the families started to get education.
Siddis in India - There are two places in India where Siddis are settled in large number
    A. Yellapur - About 50k population
    B. Jambur in Gujarat - About 5k population.
SIddis living in Yellapur, Karnataka are Hindus, Muslims and Christians - with population of Christians on bit higher side. While Siddis living in Gujarat are all Muslims.
Principal occupation of Siddis living in Yellapur - Agriculture.
Some females in nearby villages make quilt that is their traditional work, we learn that there are some 60 to 70 women there who still do that quilt work.
In this episode you will see information about their life, culture, how they came to India. Plus we also visited a waterfall and a lake in Yellapur.
    Magod falls - waterfalls
    Kavadikere lake

These vlogs cover only the western part of Karnataka. Of Course even today 70 to 80% of Uttara Kannada district is forest. There are many untouched stretches here. Karnataka is very very versatile. Nortb, South, East, West, coastal and central Karnataka are geographically, physical features wise, language and dialects, accent wise, food habit wise, even features of the people are different in this State. One binding is they are all Kannadigas. Great people, great state. Thanks for the vlogger's efforts. No one has brought out coastal Karnataka and the Sahyadris as in detail as this vlogger. Locals should learn from him. Many Kannadigas have told me that they learnt a lot about their own state better from an outside guest!!!. All the best. 🙏🙏🙏

It's such a retreat to watch each of your episode. I have seen you distributing copies and chocolates to children in some of your other videos as well, that's such a noble act on your part. All respect to you sir, you are one of noblest people on this Earth. All you say and you do sounds very real, there is not an ounce of fakeness which a lot of UA-camrs have nowadays. I can't admire your work enough!

Resp sir, thanks for introducing such a tribe living with nature.
I watch your videos regularly and your fan. Your videos describe the journey, the region , places and their importance , stories etc. All covered very nicely .
Once, the video started neither i can move my eyes elsewhere nor any forwards . Rather sometimes take video back to see again and again. About your style will comment in another video. 🙏👍
