That’s the beauty of Little Mix; they could ALL be SUPER SUCCESSFUL stand alone artists, but they CHOOSE to be together. When they won the x-factor, they could have split and gone their own ways, but they stayed together.
The magic of Little Mix is that they each have such strong and stand alone worthy voices that WORK PERFECTLY TOGETHER.
Agree. It's a shame other best vocal videos don't have as much views as Perrie. My favorite part of little mix is their love for each other. I mean Jade is makes singing look easy, Jesy is actually a very powerful singer and bring so much emotion, and Leigh Ann (I love her, so don't get me wrong) but she wasn't the best singer, and now, she is flawless! They have grown so much TOGETHER!
Bonks49G K because perrie is better than the rest of them. Thats a fact. I hate when mixers just say they are equal and all amazing, its so unreal. They are all good but they offer something different. Leigh is still the weakest vocalist of all of them, her voice just isnt up there, but she is the best performer. Perrie has the most impactful voice, jade has the best voice for blending and jesy has the most unique one.
@@dennisvillaflor3359 Um. Leigh Ann does not have the weakest voice. Her voice actually lasts the longest compared to Perrie. Perrie is a strong belter, but Leighs voice is enduring. Jade is almost always in tune and always nails her performance and Jesy brings passion, energy, and just rawness to each performance. THEY are equally talented. This doesn't mean they all sound the same and have all the same strengths. It means they all have different strengths which make them all equally amazing. An opera singer is not better than a broadway singer. A pop singer is not better than a rock singer. They have all improved. You saying Perrie is the best is Purely your opinion. Little Mix was a huge influence when it comes to Perrie's singing.

Perrie was not good enough (the judges of X-Factor said that, not me) to move on beyond just boot camp, so they put her in a group with the other 3. You can't say her voice is the best, because objectively she wouldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for Little Mix (again, the judges said this, not me)

Ever since X Factor, many people think that Perrie would be great as a solo artist, or she should be the leader of Little Mix, but the thing is that the group has 4 different kind of people with different kind of voices, but they have the same visions and goals, and together they fit each other really well. That's what makes them so special. Without each other, there is no Little Mix.
I agree, and I think that the group doesn't completely hold her back from showing off her powerhouse vocal qualities, I mean they were damn BEAUTIFULLY showcased in this video. I think that the group recognize and respect her abilities, and they dont limit moments like the ones in the video over pettiness or envy. They let her have her well-deserved moments and clearly applaud her for them. This transcends just a talent based relationship, it's a beautiful, SUPER RESPECTFUL, and super supportive friendship/family.

Her being a solo artist or being the leader of little mix wont make them any less. I love little mix but to say that they wont be as successful with a leader is just delusional. They should put someone in front if they want to succeed in the US. May it be perrie or jade, they seem to be the one fitting the mold. Specially since a few people know her and dont even know the group. I cant think of any group that made it big in the US, that didnt have the leader or someone in the front. Being a worldwide group is all about image, vocals sadly take the backseat.
@@dennisvillaflor3359 if you followed Little Mix from the beginning, you would know EACH of them feels the same way - no leader, no lead vocalist. Louis Walsh had the same idea, but they denied it and guess what? They won X-Factor. Perrie has outright said NO to being the lead vocalist.

Because she sometimes get to act like the lead singer while the other girls are the backup singers which is not actually supposed to be the case for their group... duh...
Lindsey Dawn doesn’t mean y’all should be hostile towards her. and lately they’ve been getting pretty equal solo distributions in songs so i don’t see how the other girls are seen as backup singers. all perrie does is sing, it’s not her fault.
@@lil383 yeah, and I think I saw they actually said they decide how to distribute the solos, so if she gets more solos is because of her own talent, and because they decided to do so. And I think she's the one with the most outgoing personality (sober), so it might look like she's trying to stand out, but don't think is like that

the thing about little mix is that all of their voices could stand on their own but them being together is what makes them special because in my opinion, their harmonies together outdo any of their individual voices
I'm a mixer and I love them as a group, but Perrie's my favorite. She usually gets a lot of hate because she's the most popular one, but she has the best vocals. Whenever people comment something good about Perrie, the others just go like, "But Leigh/Jesy/Jade are equally good" and it annoys me so much. Just because they are a group does NOT mean you can't compliment one of them individually for their talent.

You can compliment them individually. You can't compliment Perrie. It's like Mixers are trying to level their popularity by doing everything in their power to avoid giving that poor girl any recognition if it's not accompanied by Leigh's and Jade's name. "I love Perrie's voice, all of Little Mix are amazing vocalists" is acceptable, "I love Perrie's voice" is you excluding the other girls and favouring the blonde white girl, even tho she is objectively an amazing vocalist on her own too.
The fact that so many of these comments bring up the other girls when Tristan said Perrie could stand on her own and it was a disservice for her to be in a group. Like, why is it when someone compliments Perrie, the other girls have to somehow be brought up?

11:04 the only time Perrie made a mistake was when she was having an off day. Her fiancee had broken up their engagement and she was really emotional cause of that on that day:/ It was really publicised and she had broken down mid performance before this one : /

While I agree that Perrie's voice could very easily stand on it's on as a solo artist, what makes Little Mix so special, and what sets them apart from all other girl groups, is that all four of their voices are strong and consistent but sound their very best when they sing together. Their tones fit so well together and compliment each other so perfectly that everything they put out is magic, there is no lead singer because every voice is important on a record. Perrie is the best at belting and sustained notes, Jade has the most gorgeous head voice, Leigh-Anne's is sweet and melodic and is so important durings harmonies, and Jesy's is rich and sexy and soulful. They all love each other and respect each others talent and while yes maybe Perrie has the more obviously strong ("best") voice that is irrelevant because it shines best when she sings with the other three girls.

If you listened to the others individually, I feel like they’re all comfortably in that position, but that’s why it works so well. I’ve never seen another girl group effortlessly do harmonies like these four

I can totally understand why you think Perrie could be a solo artist but this girl loves her girls so much, I doubt she’d want to leave. These four have such a great bond and while I do think Perrie’s voice is unique and out there, so are the other three. Question. Why is it that when Perrie is getting praised for her truly phenomenal voice, Mixers always bring up the other girls. When the rest are being praised I don't see not even one comment mentioning Perrie. I find it so unfair that ppl don't give Perrie the credit she deserves. All the girls are great singers but for me personally I love Perrie voice more but I would never post a comment downgrading the others cause they are amazing as well. Mixers make it seem like it is a taboo to praise Perrie but it's okay if it's the other singers. Give her the credit she deserves. Gosh

Perrie had a problem singing E.T. because just before she broke down while singing a previous LM song "This is the End" in this performance, because she just broke up with you know who. So they regrouped to sing a different song, but they hadn't sung E.T. in 4 years so they were out of practice and had a couple of false starts. Jade mentioned that to the audience before they finally got in sync, it wasn't perfect, but it was still amazing to regain composure and complete a song they had not practiced in years.

I just realized that the "dark" vowels are what give Perrie her distinct and powerful sound. That's so fascinating. I love that you notice those little stylistic choices and celebrate them instead of just attacking it through technicality like a lot of other people do (whether they're voice coaches or not).
Here’s my thing with mixers. They now act like she isn’t apart of the group. Like, if you wanted the other girls to get a lot of hype, hype them up and her at the same time not act like she’s not part of the group.

NOOOOOOO TRISTAN when you said she shouldn’t be in a girl group she’s not there because she’s trying to use them as a stepping stone to go solo. They’re all very very talented just as much as Perrie and though she is literally the love of my life if you please just listen to their voices as a whole each of them are a force in themselves and they choose to be together because they love singing together and their dynamics and force together are something to be reckoned with. Jade has this amazing agility and really beautiful voice to listen to and Leigh Anne has such a sweet and powerful sassy voice and Jesy has this smokey sexy voice. Man I know you weren’t trying to offend anyone and I understand but just get to know them better and react to their voices you’ll see. The judges on the x factor said something similar and she wasn’t happy because she loves being in a group and she loves them together. You should listen to each of the other members individually as well, because in my opinion what makes them such an amazing group is how each member is strong on their own, but they are bomb together. I can't see any of them as solo artists, because they compliment and build each other up so much, and they are really great friends 💛

Unfortunately, almost every group (especially in the decade or so) has one who shines above the rest and for Little Mix it is Perrie. Other examples include Camilla or Beyoncé. No shade at all to the other girls who all have unique voices who all blend well together and have amazing chemistry. It's a simple fact that should just be accepted if we're not sugar-coating it. Also, you mentioned her use of dipthongs. That's partially due to where she's from. Both she and Jade are from South Shields (north east England), so they use a lot of dipthongs where most wouldn't, for example, when they said Get Weird Tour, they would say 'get weead tooah'
