I love that the heaviest instrument in this song is The Entire Orchestra.
One of my favorite songs from this incredible band. I am thankful for all of the very good symphonic metal bands like Therion, Leaves Eyes, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish, Within Temptation etc that were my gateway up to the great Epica 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I got to see Epica live about 10 years ago, at a very small local venue. No live orchestra or choir, but I was standing about 10 feet from the band, most of the night. I did try to move out of the way, when they signaled for a circle pit.
I think 'The Second Stone' was the opening song that night. I was also VERY happy when they got to 'Martyr of the Free Word'.
You can't go wrong with Epica on the channel, Jynger! Later this year I'll be seeing these guys live for the first time and it will also be with full orchestra, looking forward very much!

Epica is a fenomenal band, specially their live performance. Check „once upon a nightmare“ next.
Additionally I suggest to have a look also to the gothic / synphonic metal band Blackbriar. They have the same producer as Epica.
Their front singer Zora Cock has an incredible ability whith their voice.

Love Love Love Epica 🤩 This is one of my favorite songs from them. Simone soaring above the orchestra and choir, the drums, the melody, and the all-around performance. True perfection.
I don't think you've reacted to a metal singer named Diane van Giersbergen. She is an OG symphonic metal singer (think Tarja-style) who just released a new song, A Symphonic Tragedy, and it features Arjen. It's a must listen!

I see you've done a fair few Epica songs! Although not for a long while. This video was the last time they performed with a full orchestra and choir, in 2013. But this year, they are doing that again, with two concerts in Amsterdam and two concerts in Mexico City. Just putting that out there in case anyone has the opportunity to go, but weren't aware!
In any case, one Epica song you haven't done is "Tides of Time", and it's a favourite among many Epica fans. Unfortunately it doesn't have a music video or a live version that's been professionally filmed, so I think you should go for the studio version.

Jynger please listen to my favorite symphonic metal band from Finland wintersun I highly recommend them.
I saw them in copenhagen last year. I was so disappointed by the performance.
First they looked like someone who didn't want to be there. And the sound where terrible. And Simone's voice drowned in way to high guitars.
That was the first and last time i bought a ticket to their concert.
I felt ripped off really.
Their songs give me horripilation.
