His wife probably gets hit on more often than him, and I wouldn't be surprised if she did make comments like that.
Bare in mind that a guy doesn't need the attention the way a woman does.
You have to fulfil her emotional needs and make sure she is happy or OK all the time and it goes on to be much more. A guy just needs 3 basic things, loyalty, love (sex included), and food.
Now, the list for a woman's needs is much longer.

@focusedstudying8993 I'm talking about external validation and attention, not just in a relationship. Women tend to seek it more than men. They thrive on external validation from both men and women. Now, that's not to say that some men don't do it, but I've seen more women do it than me.
