Looks like a catch 22 here, as they extend support for 10 they tighten 11 to work on less machines. Still crazy Microsoft is the only company that charges for their OS these days, nearly everyone else gives it away but charges for support plans instead.

You can purchase a cheap Windows 11 IoT Ltsc 2024 Enterprise License and also Software for Unsupported PC's from SoftwareBase UK Sales Support, and you get a full instructions know how in to install Windows 11 IoT Ltsc 2024 Enterprise without logging into Microsoft Account which I have done, and I'm very happy with the results. So, I'm quite happy to share this information with the audience. This is the only way if you want to keep your old PC.
I'd like to add that these keys are most likely legitimate but it is also likely that the keys were sold to but not used by companies that then decided to resell them. This is by my knowledge not allowed by Microsoft, but they do not appear to penalize this. However, these keys might be invalidated at some unexpected point requiring you to buy it again
The 3-year pricing has already been known and those are for commercial organizations only. Details will be shared at a later date for consumers on Microsoft's consumer end of support page. Educational organizations can find tailored information about Windows 10 end of support in the Microsoft Education Blog.
I paused my windows 10 updates until Nov 1, 2032. I did a registry hack awhile back to only go as far as 22H2. Not sure why I can pause my updates until 2032? Oh well. Learning Linux Mint. I really like it. Reminds me of the Windows 7 layout. Take care everyone. Cheers
Win10 22H2 is the last version. I haven't seen a higher version in 2 years. Even if you download the ISO image now it's still 22H2. All additional updates are bug fixes, security patches and Windows Defender updates. There's no more version update.

Zorin OS is an excellent option for those who are new to Linux or anyone else who wants a simple, elegant, and stable experience. It is an ideal Windows 10 replacement.
I've actually been looking at Zorin OS, Linux Mint, Manjaro, and Tuxedo OS. So far the distros I lean towards have the KDE Plasma graphical interface, like Manjaro and Tuxedo.
Yesssss. I just installed Zorin Lite on a VERY Old laptop computer. Based on the results I will have no problem switching my Windows 10 to some version of Zorin.
So windows 10 is barely 10 years old. But they where offering final build as a purchase until October 2022. Anyone else feel windows 10 was a giant con?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Microsoft advertise Windows 10 as "the last version of windows you'll ever need" and imply that it would be updated forever?
@@zetectic7968 Yep, you're right. Some developer at Microsoft named Jerry Nixon said that back in 2015. I googled it and a micorosft forums page talking about it.

Literally what I don't get, have ran LTSC and updating it through the latest major build since 2017. Literally works great, very smooth and fast. Support to 2032, no one mentions this option?
You can still get LTSB with updates until 2030 but its hard to use for noobs. LTSC cycle is 3 years but the IoT version same thing 3 years you have to install everything you want its barbone and you won't get these from updates you have to manually install packages like .Net for example.
Yes. But for it to be a real OS (and not spyware), it should be like a 4k Win 7 with the few new useful features in win 10. Meaning no more spyware, so called ”Telemetry”. Win 7 was the last user-oriented (including not being as spyware) OS from MS. Best regards
they should, but they won't. because all PCs sold at walmart and etc, come with windows 11 today. people will just throw away their perfectly good PCs to get one that is "compatible". the majority of people do not know anything about computers.
Brought a windows 11 pc last year decent specs 7730U and the wifi on it got broken by windows updates so switched it over to kubuntu. Buying a windows 11 pc dosent guarantee windows 11 will work which sucks. Its sad Microsoft has forgotn how to make an os and just how to pour money into the AI sink.
MS still can't see the writing on the wall. With Linux gaining steam (usability wise) MS is just going to drive more ppl to linux rather than them going out and buying new hardware to run windows 11. As soon as the linux community figures out how to make windows apps run easily without any fancy configuration then MS is going to find it's market share dropping rapidly. Right now Wine and Bottles really don't do much other than help run some games so the first distro to figure it out is gonna get a lot of new users. As it is Linux already has alternative (and free) apps that replace almost everything that you have in windows, and without the telemetry and recommendations (aka advertising). They're just on the edge of being a true competitor to windows and by the time MS kills off win10 support in a few years linux will likely be an easy drop in replacement so MS is just digging their own grave atm. For the record, I do run win11 (insider edition) most of the time as I need apps that aren't available on linux. But when the work is done I boot into Fedora and enjoy the rest of my day knowing MS and google can't track every little thing I do (not that I care if they do, but it's fun to have a different desktop environment to play with after the work is done hehe). I do have an old tablet that was running win10 but I scrapped windows on there and made it a pure linux tablet now (oddly enough it runs fedora 41 with plasma quite well, and not the mobile edition either lol).
