Good performance of a great song from an outstanding album. Vampire Weekend has 2 out of 2 excellent albums so far, which is pretty rare these days. Most bands are one hit wonders not the Vampire Weekend though.
Hi, I actually only listened to Modern Vampires of The City at the time, and still havent got around to listen to Father of the Bride. Modern Vampires, I guess it’s not my favorite album it’s got a few songs that I really liked but overall I just didn’t feel like listening to it from beginning to the end like I listened their first two albums. Maybe it was me, maybe I changed as I got a little older, but the songs felt as they say a bit more darker, more heavy. Not exactly lighthearted stuff. So I didn’t listen to it very much. And the last album, I guess too many years had passed and I just stopped thinking about the band, and I’ve heard Rostam left so I knew a crucial member was missing. I myself got 10 years older since their first albums, so I never got around to listen to it yet. But now that you’ve reminded me, I’ll give it a go one of these days and I will let you know how it feels 😂 Modern Vampires wasn’t like a disappointment I guess, as I said I just didn’t feel like listening to it as an album from top to bottom. And I’ve listened to first two albums from start to finish countless times back then. So there you go, thanks for reminding me to check out Father of the Bride, and I will let you know how it went. Thanks guys, later! 😉👍🏻😂
Kaya Spurgiasz by the way, I’m interested in how do you yourself feel about their latter two albums? Did you listen to them oftenly of just gave them a good onceover? :) Which is your favorite VW album, and which one of the last two do you like better, Modern Vampires or Father OTB?
I’m listening just now to Father of the Bride and even before the end of it I can tell it’s great. I already feel like listening to it again. It’s got that feel of the first and second album, melodic, feel like singing along to the songs. They nailed it yet again. I’m already looking forward to learning the songs and enjoy listening to them over and over :) Great band definitely.
As a fellow local from the 'sandbah', I'm stoked to see these guys doing their thing. Love their timing, lyrics, vocals, quirkiness, mock-yuppiness, etc. Too many bands are too serious. I mean, seriously. Kill it, but have fun doing it. These guys do just that.
@kupohunter your so right man this is one of the dopest songs and only at 71k bull shit I love this band has any one heard the bigg smalls mess up and ice cube messh up so dope
@SHPrada so wait. youve heard them before, yet you actively search out their videos to watch and comment about how much they suck. sounds like you secretly like them
Phaedrus27 if natural means having fan base of hundreds of thousands, if not a few million fans...of which tons of chicks would bang at the drop of a dime is gay...than yeah, they're a bunch of flaming homosexuals.
Great song, kids certainly don’t stand a chance in 2024. Great musicians and lyrics, top drummer 🥁
Ezra's voice always gives me chills, it's just that good.
So good!

I really wonder what you think of their 2 newer albums now that it's been 9 years.
Yes we want an updated opinion

Everyone is Ezra Koenig-sexual.
MerlinWinchester11 he's literally the reason why I'm single.

Baio owns the stage
2:05 - 2:15 Best part of the video! Those little pauses were so nice! Oh, and Ezra's falsetto

Not nearly enough, my friend.... not nearly enough
I’m fully convinced Ezra is a vampire. The man doesn’t age.

@keaneterpol How much is too much?
@LegitPandaTV thats just a fucking fact, nevermind your opinion, they are the best band of all time
The lead singer looks like he's 15. I LOVE Vampire Weekend though.
@applefieldd sooo true
Wouldn't we all
Rostam's singing face.
@smorescake I UNDERSTAND. ME TOO!
KISS ME EZRA!!!
This is the first time I've seen Ezra using a 335 instead of his epiphone Sheraton
@SHPrada so wait. youve heard them before, yet you actively search out their videos to watch and comment about how much they suck. sounds like you secretly like them
what they really need to do is play the heavier side of what they are trying to make with this song!
(Frostydude116) didn't like the business..but that was at first glance!
lololol
Bwahahaha!!!!
fuck yeaaaaaaa
@emrat1123 Nothing compares to The Beatles, but I guess that's just my opinion...
@applefieldd hi
Fuck, did i actually write that?
Brad Norman yes you did
sounds like reggae
@smorescake hi
THEY SOUND LIKE THIS OLD BAND CALL POLICE??
It was a joke, i can honestly say i would not lol

@utterlylu Impossible!
@emrat1123 HAHAHA.
bahahahaha
I think they are all boys though jk
@SHPrada Well you don't have a very good taste in music too, if screaming like crazy could be called music that is...
ahh... the days when ezra wore his awesome shoes, now he wears those inoriginal white nikes with the red logo
who came here from Peter Rabbit
I love him, but he still hasn't passed puberty :( SO MANY VOICE CRACKS
hahaha straightly gay xD
In other words, you are not completely straight. And that is ok.
Are they trying to look, sound, and act as gay as possible - or is that natural?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA
How do you look, sound or act gay? they're not exactly sucking dicks on stage...
Amy Clarke Aren't they?
Well, The Keyboardist is gay...
Phaedrus27 if natural means having fan base of hundreds of thousands, if not a few million fans...of which tons of chicks would bang at the drop of a dime is gay...than yeah, they're a bunch of flaming homosexuals.
haha at the beggining of the song the pianist looks like a pigeon. wtf?
Parece que se hubieran subido a la tarima borrachos... qué versión más terrible...
Claro que no, ademas es un concierto, ¿Qué más esperas si no es una versión de estudio?
Boring.
+miguel cervantes you have no taste in music
Lmclean89 i look like if he likes J Balvin
