    I love how well you pack for tramps - butter, milk, eggs, flour, whole tin of hot chocolate 😁
    Those bare legs in the snow 🥶 glad you've got those gloves! The bipod looked very handy to have, great use of grass pointing later on too 😁
    Great video Tasman, looking forward to part 2!

      Thanks Summer 😁. Gotta hunt prepared 😂. The mittens were actually super nice, much warmer than gloves.

    Gosh that's complicated by yourself.... balance camera, balance rifle, balance myself, all while being stealthy. And that pack, dam it looked so heavy that you could have done with a mule. Perfect video though with snow and then blue skies. Very jealous. If that video doesn't have Arved contemplating a flight home, nothing will. And dam, that was so good you could probably have included cooking instructions and the recipe in the video description. Great scenery and awesome video. Loved it.

      😂 it is a bit tricky sometimes! A mule would be handy, I hear people take llamas into the hills sometimes 😂. Hahaha not sure if it was sophisticated enough to have a full recipe!
      Thanks Paul 😁

      @@NZWildAdventures Not having to pretend enjoying a sponsors product makes life more pleasant. Can usually do a mix prep of dry ingredients before the trip if inclined. And you know what is going into it, and what it really should cost.

    Mate you left half the meat on the animal, take the take take it all off the bone.

    • @NZWildAdventures
      @NZWildAdventures  2 роки тому +7

      Unfortunately the shoulders were shot, so I only took the took half of one forequarter, however with the backsteaks, back legs and tenderloins, what more can you expect out in the wopwops 🤷‍♂️.

      @@NZWildAdventures ribs an neck should be deboned, and 90% of the time when people say "the shoulders were shot through" it just means they cant be bothered trimming around a bit of blood shot, or they are using a way too large of a caliber for the animal they are after. Plus you left the shanks behind, which most definitely were not shot off. Probably good to upskill your butchery skills.

      Mate, really are you going to throw stones with a comment like this? I've seen you have a crack at other such like the Duleys.. You've watched a video, you don't have all the facts. Don't try to bring others down for your own benefit. The outdoors, Hunting and fishing is about getting out and trying to relieve some stresses and anxiety of normal life. Its about the friends we make and the comradery established. What do you honestly hope to achieve by being such a negative human? Maybe consider how you approach others going into the future, theres only so far you can get with an act like that.

    • @fillthefreezer8413
      @fillthefreezer8413 2 роки тому

      @@joshjoannedooley2797 Afternoon mate. Hunting is yes a great way to enrich the mind and body, and escape from modern life, you are very right. But you seriously cant be so fragile that you cant take a bit of questioning about how you use an animal.
      Because the fact is, when you post hunting content on UA-cam, you are acting as a representative of hunting as a whole. It is also a fact that Kiwi hunters are incredibly useless at actually recovering and utilising the animals they kill, and this is a perfect example of that. If we want hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation activities that involve the consumption of a resoruce to survive long into the future, we must promote using it all. The facts are that society today has absolutely zero tolerance for wasting a resoruce, especially when the harvest of said resoruce involves the taking of the life. So if we want to show hunting in the best light possible, actions like what is shown above must be questioned by other hunters.
      My comments does not pertain to anything about the person themselves or their character, but just suggests that they learn the correct skills before posting it on UA-cam for the world to see. Videos like this should be setting an example of utilising the whole animal, not leaving a good chunk of it behind in the field. This is by no means a way of "bringing other people down for my own benefit", but rather an indication that that probably isn't the right way to do things.
      And before you say "rich coming from a guy that doesn't put himself out there and share his own experiences" i do quite a bit. I literally run my own online hunting magazine, showcasing the stories of hunters and anglers from around NZ & Australia, Called Fill The Freezer. There, we make a very strong effort to show hunting in the best light, and a very very very large part of that is utilising the whole animal. So I don't just talk the talk, I try to walk the walk as much as possible. Feel free to poke and prod on there, and make whatever jabs you so wish. Hope to have UA-cam content up soon.
      So pretty much, I get that you may think that I'm coming from a perspective of negativity, but I'm really coming from a perspective of trying to make the world of hunting and fishing a better and more responsible one. Thankyou for your comment, enjoy your day.

      @@fillthefreezer8413 That's great you hold that set of values so high. I'm not going to try and pick you apart, I don't know anything about you except the couple of negative comments I have read you post before. If you're trying to promote your 'brand' you need the ability to be able to relate to various audiences. So I'm simply stating maybe you could go about it in a way where you appear to be genuinely wanting to engage and potentially offer help/guidance. Unfortunately your statement aligns itself with the typical keyboard warrior troll. The mere statement "But you seriously cant be so fragile.." is so so wrong. Who are you to question how fragile someone is? They could be in the deepest of darkest places, i would sooner reach out to someone who needs help than 'whip out the meat between the ribs...' A thought to ponder tonight.
