Last minute revision. Never been taught a good way of factorizing until now so hopefully it'll save me some time in the exam while using this method, Thanks alot!
Thank you so much my teacher set us an entire chapter of questions and your video really helped me to understand what to do!!! You have earned my subscription!!! Keep doing what you're doing!!!!
thank you very much! I couldn't understand this way of solving from school. Now I'm studing at universty. I've got an exam on monday. I'm sure your clean explanation will hepl me to understand more complicated topics connected with this one.
thanks i really appreciate your videos mate, I'm from Australia and I'm assuming your from England but i think i speak on behalf of the us Australian students but there is a subject called 'Math Methods' not sure if you heard of it or not. But its a fairly hard subject and was wondering if you could do some videos on that.
I have looked up the Math Methods specification for Australia and I felt that the majority of stuff is on my site albeit under different sections. What was it in particular that you feel that I haven't got?
You said that if you switch the x's it wont make any difference to final answer, but on Q: 2x^2-7x+6 the answer is different (2x-4)(x-1.5)? (I see that if you actually work out x it is the same, but still confused me for a while).
Theres a major problem with this method.. EG. 8x^2 - 2x - 15 As you can see, 8 x 15 = 120 ... But there are NO numbers that add to make -2... PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS!!!
Hi, thanks for your comment. I cannot see why they would lose 1 mark at this stage for putting a 1 though. This was done on purpose to highlight the fact that 1 would then be a common factor as I have taught so many students over the years that have failed to see the next stage when a 1 is not placed in the intermediate stage. I understand what you are saying if the final answer to some expression was 5+x and not to leave it as 5 + 1x.
exam solution you are god of us and make my study easy
@fegeleiin Because you cannot get two rational values to add to 1 and multiply to give 2.

Thanks very much, your videos are great for helping me fall asleep
wow mind blown. thankyou
Great video! Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
Easy to understand and very helpful! Thanks a lot! :)
What if the number before x squared is a negative?
Very helpful and well explained thank you!!
No I said -4 added to -3 gives -7 which is correct -4+-3=-4-3=-7
great video to use while studying Thank You!
thanks got my exam in less than a week and that really helped me
Good luck.
This video is very, very helpful it could be the difference between an A*/A I subscribed, thank you. Appreciated.
thx so much man! I'm now ahead of class!!!
+Vasilis Tsakouleris Well done. I hope you can try and keep it that way.
+ExamSolutions i am mate and ill have to watch more of those tutorials :)
That was. An excellent video that helped me a lot thank you
i like the way u say okay
THANKS I UNDERSTAND!
@MilitaryMan006 not really
thank you so much for your videos. You've helped me so much!!!
That's okay. Good to have your support.
For the 2nd example, you used 6 and 1 ... but couldn't you also have used 3 and -2? They add up to make 5, and multiply together to give -6
10:54 - 10:55 you say - 4 -+ (- 3) = - 7 but doesnt two negatives make a positive?
Hi sir, very good video but i just have question: for the first question can your answer be (2x+10)(x+3) which would give you x= -5 and x= -3.

great job keep on going!
Thank you, this video was really helpful
+Tahbitha Deng You're welcome
Cool
how would you do this (2x+1)(3x+1)=6x²-5x+1 how would you do this ??
WTF
but i thought you have to find two numbers that MULTIPLY to make -120 and also ADD to make -2?? are u saying they can SUBTRACT to make -2??
very helpful thank you sir
You are welcome
It should be 8 x -15 = -120 not 120 and then 10 x -12 = -120 and 10 -12 = -2. No problem!
my god thank you so much dis really help me i dont kno how else to tank u ^__^
for the first question, could you do -15+2, as this =13?
No, as -15 + 2 =-13 not 13
Theres a major problem with this method.. EG. 8x^2 - 2x - 15
As you can see, 8 x 15 = 120 ... But there are NO numbers that add to make -2...
PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS!!!
You meant, I used 6 and -1. If I used your values 3 and -2 they do not add to make 5. They add to make 1. That is why they do not work.
helped heaps. thanks! :D
Well done
ExamSolutions my exams tomorrow but i understand it now :D
Kallum Green Good luck

+Momin Haider Me XD
@Menacin Thank you - I wish you had a million pounds!
Thanks but don't encourage people to write 1x they'd lose a mark

2(pi)(R^2)-2(pi)(r^2)+2(pi)(R)(h)+2(pi)(r)(h) =?
how to do this?
