IMO the Nokia 8.1 was the last good Nokia phone. I used it for well over 3 years and sold it to a friend who still rocks it and he's very happy with it.
Actually if HMD used 778 G Chipset that has 4k Video Support, this would actually be a contender for Phone of the Year. Because this is actually the 2nd best point and shoot camera phone in the midrange to the Pixel 6a

Old Nokia fan here.. had Nokia 232 back in 90s.. than N95 8Gb.. than Nokia N8(for 5 years) ..than Lumia 900(still working) and now i use Nokia 7.2 128 Go for 2 years and half already; next one should be X30 OR Nokia XR20.

Honestly all Nokia needs to do is build a near pixel phone experience. Pick slightly older cameras like the tried and trusted 12 mp pixel camera for cost reasons. Try to use the pixel camera app from the past generation and you're there. A nice Snapdragon 7 series chipset or high end 6 series and you're there.
Been using Nokia 7 plus from last 5 years as a daily driver this is built like a a tank and with SoC 660 it still runs smooth without any problems loved Nokia phones but unfortunately nokia has not been catching market and customers point here atleast when Microsoft acquired they produced good lumia phones now hmd global is worst at making nokia phones....

They would like us to use this phone for 3 years, but the processor is so underpowered to use even for 1 year. I really hope Nokia would change this behaviour of not concentrating on specs. They don't have to beat Chinese manufacturers in this regard, but they should atleast keep up with the likes of Samsung. A SD 778G would have been better here.

A headphone jack lets people use their already existing headphones, most people have several headphones that they can't use conveniently without a headphone jack. Wireless charging (qi) helps to minimize stress to the usb c port. If they'd even change the back cover to be magnetic, you could even charge the phone while in your pocket (attached to a magnetic power bank) without worrying to break the usb port. Please Nokia, release an updated version!

If you want a portable device to record in any resolution that's higher than 1080P, you don't use a smartphone as the lenses and tech are limited. You invest in portable devices that specialize in that field.
Nokia should take the Sony route imo: no notch, microSD and headphonejack + Android One (which Sony phones don't have) and a solid entry-level, midrange and flagship device.

In my country, i find this expensive compared to chinese brands that also have 695 or equivalent... It's $405 converted, versus the $260 oneplus nord ce 3 lite or $290 for narzo 50 pro. And these are their non sale prices. The narzo can sale to just around 160$ Having ip protection and recycled materials is an advantage, but it's hard to justify the pricing.

Design and quality is a step in the right direction, the rest are not that good to be honest considering the price they're asking vs the competition. The only key selling points here is the design, quality and the pure android experience, good enough for average users. Its quite lacking in my opinion.

I've got the Nokia 8, the battery life generally has been very good but now after 4 years it's started to drop on wi-fi I get around 5-6 hours now.

Head phone jack and FM radio are things which I missed from newer Nokia's
Use Bluetooth.
It does have FM radio if you used wired headphones, as it has analog audio thought USB-C and can use those as the antenna.
