Thanks for the shout out! 😁 The more I run my Sand Master, the more I like it. It's got its problems, but for the money you can't go wrong. Mine lives in the back of my car along with a couple of old nimh packs and gets run whenever I have a bit of free time. Goes pretty well with a Super Stock motor in it. The biggest headache is getting the battery door off after a run in gravel, fine dirt or sand.😅 I'll have to give the tape idea a go!
wonderful execution of this ez series (definitely does not compete against the tamiya bbx which is at a much higher price than the kyosho) I hope Kyosho has many gear boxes for this cart available in stock this time. I heard that rage 2.0 was back in stock too I think that for the price it is a great car (hopefully this version doesn't get dirt in the gearbox gears)
I was a little worried about the gear box at first. My Sandmaster 2 now has a 3300kv on 3s doing 42MPH on stock gears. It has not failed once. This is a great budget Rc
Looks really cool Andy, the suspension works well on that surface and for the price I think it’s seems great, very tempted!! Many thanks for sharing, best wishes
It is a cool buggy for a great price. The gear box noise is a bit much but cleaning up the spur gear helped a lot. For the price it is a great deal and a lot of fun to drive. I just got the metal pinion in mine to replace the plastic one, just for peace of mind. Take care Andy and have fun with it! I will have to try the zip tie fix for the rear arms too!
It's a pretty good looking buggy, I quite like it. I suspect it'd be way better on sand or flat dirt, seems more suited, it looked very, very bouncy on that surface that you were running it on. Great video as always!!
It should be able to maintain that speed , I’d geared mine down as well so it should have been faster than it was in my video , it’s mainly the spur gear that’s not very good and I’d change the pinion to metal steel pinion instead of the kit plastic one
To me this comes out Right after the Arrma Gorgon. Interesting that 2 2wd models come out very close to each other when the 2wd hype is at a high. Interesting indeed! I really like this though. For the money it’s an excellent buy. Hope fully Kyosho stoa producing these poorly made gears. It’s a shame it’s that noisy right out of the box. Still, it’s decent performance and. Overall durability still make it worth price. Great run And video Andy! 👊🏼😃
Hi Adrian these originally date back to 2012 and haven’t evolved to much. They were a budget model mire aimed at beginners etc , if you look back at kyosho earlier releases you could compare it to the likes of the Cosmo, icarus or maybe the Raider artr. Cheers hope that helps

Wow wow Andy how nice is this new buggy! Good job man🎉
Looks nice Andy .. worked respectfully well on that surface.. kyosho done well there .. really surprised 😊
wonderful contribution friend! Do you think this car can handle 23 or 24 mph for long periods of time without damaging the gearbox?😊😊😊

Thanks for the input my friend :)
Interesting release from Kyosho. I think a hot brushed motor like Super stock bz would be an ideal choice for this buggy 🙂
Cheers Andy, smart looking buggy that...

I personally like this more than BBX in looks.
not a chance..
Top vid Andy! The Sand Master is a sloppy buggy but can't help but like them!
Nice. I love mine.
Great video mate 👍 I'm not sure on it to honest 🤔
I didnt know that they still made kyosho's
Yep Kyosho is still going and they have been re-releasing a lot of their older models as well.
Would a brushless motor fit
It would fit it it no problem , not sure I would want to put anything mega powerful in it , may a 17.5 turn
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 thanks I don't know how many turns it is, it's just an old maverick Strada motor, would have to look it up
The sound quality is terrible Andy.
It’s only the first minute, after that it’s as usual, unfortunately I did t have enough time to re-shoot the video. Sorry about that Brad
sandmaster, not gravel master.
It was near the beach, pretty close anyway that’s good enough for me ;)
it looks toy grade to me, not the usually quality i would expect from Kyosho.

@@andyrobinsonrc2480 oh ok I see, to be honest the more I think about it they would make a cool race series.
