Learn how to divide a circle into 12 equal parts using compass and ruler. This method gives a very precise division than that by using a protractor.

How do you divide ellipse into 12 equal parts?
That can be a challenge. 👍
Thanks a lot
Nalimutan ko na kasi Tagal na kasi nung drafting days ko😄

YOU SAVED ME THANK YOU SM
👍
thank you your method its the best
You are welcome and thanks!
What if we want to divide it into 5 equal parts ??
Probably you should use protractor and measure angles of 360/5 = 72 degree each segment.
Your method is the best and easy to understand....thank you
Thanks
Thank you very, very much! :)

Thank you it's help me in my practical 😊

Thank you so much so easy yet intelligent ❤️❤️ this helped me a lot in my project work
Glad it helped!👍
Actual video title: Dividing A Circle Into 12 Equal Parts Using A Compass
-
I'm trying to divide a much larger circle here, neat trick but it wasn't a help.
For much larger circle you can use a long thread or even a rope to draw circle and cut those sections on the circumference.👍
It help my doughter a lot thank u
👍
Thank you so much for uploading
👍
This will teach mii alot in maths and i really appericate

Thank you! Helped me so much!
U R Welcome!
helped a lot in my work
How can I do this without a compass or square? I know there has to be a way
Interesting! You can not draw the circle (of any radius) without a compass. But if you use the classical method of a string for the radius and a nail for the centre then you could draw a circle. This is the way the centre of a soccer field is drawn, circle of 10 yard radius.👍
Thank you! These helped me a lot.
Welcome!
The flicking of the lighting is due to the use of fluorescent bulbs. Perhaps the creator of this video should invest in proper lighting for future video production.
It was because of old camera. This problem is solved in newer videos, kindly check. Thanks👍✔
Thank you. You is Jesus 🙂🙂🙂

How many of you are here to learn this for colour wheel????😂

Thank you..it's help a lot😁
U R Welcome!
You should have used a tee-square to draw the horizontal line and a tee-square with a set-square to draw the vertical line. Anyway, you have tried.
Thanks for your comment. Tee-squares are not in use these days. Yes, one could use mini drafter here. For educational purpose, the rolling ruler is also helping well to do the same thing. I appreciate your comment.

Ty this is very helpful
What kind of ruler is that
Do you mean the rolling ruler?
Yes
The straight one foot ruler.
شكرا
Great for a Circle of Fifths wheel.
Thank you sir❤❤❤
Funny how you put the ruler on the horizontal line and then move it down and expect it to still be horizontal...
Keep it on the line when you put the triangle against it!
I guess you meant the rolling ruler. Actually it remains parallel to the line when you roll it after aligning with a line. It needs bit of practice how to move the rolling ruler such that it does not skid when you are rolling. Moving your set squares on the rolling ruler is convenient than using the set squares without the rolling ruler. But, it is a personal choice. In old days we used T-squares instead of rolling ruler.

Oops. C/r=2π≠6. Your drawing may look good, but is not technically accurate. Using a protractor is one way to get it.
It is geometrically correct. By cutting on the circumference with chord of radius length, we are actually making equilateral triangle, so, that makes an angle of 60 degree at the centre. Remaining angle is 30 degree within each quarter. So, each quarter of the circle is divided into three equal parts of 30 degree angle each when we cut from both sides of a quarter. Thus total circle is divided into 12 parts exactly.
@@1styearengineeringdrawing182 I realized after my post that I wasn't going along the circumference, but from one point to another, essentially drawing a hexagon. My bad. I am still trying to remove the egg from my face.
sir , ur process is wrong, better process is diving circle into 12 parts with help of set square, making 30 degree
This process is correct as this also gives 30 degree angle for each segment. Using set square is also fine but it may add bit of error if you are not careful. Using compass has the advantage that it is faster, correct and needs only compass and a ruler.
THANK YOU

Thx it become easy to me
