The aspect I was missing was Retribution, not Hectic in the gameplay footage. Misspoke in the video.
As this is really early season, things are bound to change and evolve as time goes on. Make sure to refer to the planner and the Maxroll guide as I continue to update and make tweaks.
My favorite Rogue build so far. How are you enjoying Heartseeker?
EDIT: New updated gameplay video! (Speedfarm Pit tier 100 in 3 minutes) ua-cam.com/video/RtmRdfJ_NUE/v-deo.html
Is the current planner up to date? It had might on the helm and not hectic? If the board planner is correct I’ll just use that to guide my arrows sort of speak 😂
@@RedValknut It's still early season, so wherever aspects roll is where they roll. Most are can go in multiple different slots
Like for instance, i can have edgemaster on ring, or sword, doesn't really matter.
Always follow the planner, as that will get updated often whereas the video can't.
Tried it yesterday. Feels clunky, projectiles dont fire where you want exactly. And the aesthetic isnt great. Also spaming just a basic skill without using brain is not rogue-like
hey i tuned in your stream and saw u weren't playing hardcore not that i care but is ur build planner on maxrolls viable for hc? aspect wise and the paragon board please let me know
@chrissilva4573 if you click on the planner, i made a 90+ pit variant.
I would go for that right out the gate and take more DR options on the skill tree.
@dieoxide I sort of went against your recommendation in the guide and just immediately started playing this build around level 70 after a couple friends helped boost me up. So far I'm beyond impressed and has been so fun! This rogue at level 80 is out damaging and out surviving my level 100 frozen orb sorc. I can actually hold my own in a tier 100 dungeon. I just stacked vulnerable and lucky hit where ever possible and made sure I'm getting 100% on the heartseeker double cast. I dont even have rings or gloves with attack speed yet and its still fast and slicing through mobs like butter. Haven't even masterworked any armor yet either so I can only get stronger! Thanks for sharing!
This is good info as im lvl 86 with a barrage build & was looking to transition into this but wasn't sure when it would be viable.
@@madac219 i ran it from level 0 no problems. its just annoying until you get exploit at level 15.
The build is so fast you do not need attack speed on rings or amulet.
I've been playing since beta, I've made 7 level 100 characters throughout season 0-4, and this was the build that allowed me to kill Lilith for the first time last night. ITS INSANELY STRONG
I can’t figure out how to dodge those damn waves
Thank you very much for the hard work put into this build and for sharing with us, this is the first time I have ever knocked down all the endgame of Diablo IV, Lillith was a Joke and I've been clearing Pit 100 so easy and my gear is no where close to yours. I really recommend anyone wanting to try a rogue this season to follow this guide!
I switched from Rapid Fire to Heartseeker on console cause it can’t perform as good as it does on PC and I have to say it’s hella fun to play and it performs very well. Thanks for the awesome content and I hope you have a fast recovery. Greetz from Germany 💪🏼
About to do the same, rapid fire feels clunky on controller. This feels more console friendly!
Made the build and loved it!
May not one shot bosses with billion damage but its fair and fun
Been following your guide on maxroll to the letter and this is my new fav build. First time playing rogue but this builds amazing. Like it more than the dd barb. And the guide on maxroll is amazing. I actually went against popular advice and leveled with it as well lol. It does work while leveling but probably not the best option until you at least have some lucky hot chance rolls and accursed touch.
WIll defintely give this a try. I wish you a good and speedy recovery!
The exact vid I needed, looking to transition from Pen shot build. Thanks bro!
Happy to hear that you are feeling a little bit better!
I love this build. It’s pretty easy to set up too. It’s the most fun I’ve had with range rogue
Watching this has convinced me to give this a try. Awesome video and i hope you have a quick recovery.
I'm hopping on Season 4 late. Trying out this build. Looks fun!
Get well soon. Running this build. Thank u for the video and guide
Hey man. Not sure how to call you but I’m grateful that you made this build(I saw it on Maxroll)
I was having a fucking hard time playing rogue. playing the new exploding arrow and after I made that build. It didn’t perform the way I think it is and I was about to gave up by not playing it anymore.
I put so much shit in it and I was fucking sad
Then I saw this build on Maxroll and thinking:fuck it let’s give it a go. If this still don’t work. I’m just sticking with the Necro
And then. Boom!! Everything change. Now I’m having a real real good time shooting ND and Helltide
Again. Thx for this build. I appreciated your effort and good luck 😊😊
When I finally figured out the build. Which was after watching this video. I'm really enjoying it.
This is what i call the true rapid fire. Not that 1 shot per 3 base attack BS.
I'm trying this build and having a blast! Thanks!
As a rogue main since S1, I have to say this build is okay, it does what it's intended and clears. But "Fun" is definitely not the word for it. I suggest for any rogues that want something NEW for rogue, try shadowstep rogue. Lots more fun, new way of playing rogue entirely (1 tap nukes and jumping around the map infinitely as you explode everything with victimize, 1 tap bosses when CC bar pops) as opposed to the tried and abused "attack really fast do lots of crits" which is what we have been doing since day 1.
Anytime I see a build just running non-stop, I move on. Something like this you get to be face to face dancing around actually killing things yourself instead of pools of shit or minions doing the job for you. Fun can be very different things in Diablo. This build, to me, is fun.
Also a main.. Shadows step is fun yes. but you cant see jack shit and pretty much die more than any other rogue builds
Idk man been running this since around level 80 when I had the gear for it and it's been a blast just being a machine gun shooting essentially explosive arrows.
Fun is subjective, this has been the most fun rogue build for me since launch. Not having to do shitty combo point and just spam arrow like D2 is a godsend tbh. Rogue combopoint is the absolute trash that prevent me to have any fun with this class.
It's way more fun than the twisting blades builds of early seasons
Been waiting for this one, thank you!!
Many thanks for that awesome build guide. I just solo killed Tormented Duriel under 1 Minute 1st try. The attacks from Duriel cant harm that build. You can literally facetank him. but for the easthetics i dodged a bit. 😂
Thanks for the video , I am lvl 93 and cleared pit lvl 75 :D
I find HS build to be fun personally.
I've tried it with just all aspects + godslayer and many variations in between.
Variations being adding let's say Harlequin Crest, next being Meligs, next being Tyraels, last being Doombringer and at every step I've learned you add more survivability with each uber you add, but lose DPS because of those crucial aspects you might be missing out on.
Now, some things are direct upgrades like if you're using Aspect of Might on Helm slot for 20% DR, you'll get that from shako + 4 skills so you're not losing anything. And you can add Might to pants slot if you dont mind not having Shared Misery or another defensive aspect. You just gotta make compromises for the content you're doing.
But, if you have to drop an offensive aspect let's say Adapability on neck to slot in Meligs for more toughness(and why not if you got the uber) you have to move it to a ring slot, and you lose dps as amulets have higher % compared to their 1h sword or ring slots. But, if 30% dps loss isn't a big deal, its not a big deal cause you can't fight if you dead.
As for slotting in Tyraels for example, you'll just have to live without 1 of your defensive aspects.
Im using this build rn and its great, I hate combo points and this build is easy , fun and no combo points :)
This looks amazing. I was getting frustrated with my Rogue. I might come back to him.
For the weapon tempering try this:
2H- Chance to cast heartseeker twice
1h - caltrops size
1h - caltrops duration.
Once you start MW you'll get the heartseeker to cast twice temper up to 100% easily on just the one weapon.
I made a heartseeker build after getting a necro to 97 and have not looked back. Need to tweak some things but over 1300% vuln dmg and i am absolutely shredding enemies and have great boss damage. What im really missing at this point is maybe an amulet with malice ranks and pants with heartseeker ranks.
This build is really fun to play once all the pieces are in place.
Wish you would put the gear req on your max roll like you explain here, it would make it so much easier to read your build
Very solid build, I just found an issue I still don't know how to fix: *monsters often get the "Unstoppable" status* making them unkillable. This happens *in the Pit* as soon as your DPS is not high enough to oneshot everything. I am currently at level 62 and it's a horror. The multiple CC hits by this build will trigger the Unstoppable status over and over, which makes the run an absolute pain in the ass. Did you find a way to fix it?
I’m level 87 and I’m clearing tier 100. I swapped out poison trap with concealment and it’s working pretty good for me.
So dude sweet fun build! I enjoyed it as a build from lvl 53-58 while doing the capstone in-between. The thing I ended on was a bit of different passive and swapped ptrap for rapid fire. Doing great though.
Thanks for the build having a blast ✌️
Once everything is up and running consider swapping an armor ruby for topaz to clear the reqs for that final devious intelligence node. Free 20% damage is pretty big when you're already hitting for 200m
@XboxAffrayer that 20% is not a multiplier, it's addictive to the already, 2000+ damage bucket you already have by this point.
So ya, gaining less than 2% actual damage is not worth losing that much life over.
I made this build before seeing this video - great build, i fine tuned my build seeing yours & feels more solid. thank you for sharing
How do you apply vulnerability to enemies?
This is by far the best build for rogue. I can voucher you can run this build and farm tier 50 nmds with 2 level 15 glyphs at level 80. 25% lucky hit in tool tip and 500% increased vuln damage will be just fine. Of course capped res and 85% dr from armor is a must. This build is literally a blast to play. Good job dioxide!
Not even close to new rapid fire bro!!! Trust me.
@@profabeatz2252 cool. I respecced from fully geared tempered and master crafted rf with scoundles kiss. For Uber bosses yea sure rf. For general speed farm/high pit tiers nothing is better for rogue than optimized high lucky hit heartseeker. Trust me bro. No combo point nonsense. Just straight lucky hit stacking explosions.
@@bd9045I’m respecing from scoundrel rf also . About how long did it take you?
Not long at all. I focused on lucky hit chance and vuln damage on everything. Went from level 80-100 in a few hours slamming tier 85 nightmares. This build is great. Now I’m focusing on master crafting and getting more crit chance. I have 30k sheet damage armor capped res capped and 49k life. It blasts through higher tier pits already and melts bosses with buffs and traps down.
@@bd9045Could you help me out with the build?
Would a GA hp + vuln Swift be a valid upgrade to spend masterworking on? Already have a GA vuln rn. Love the video!
So the only way of making enemies vulnerable is by using/leveling the exploit rune. Is that correct? Or is there any other mechanism I am missing? Awesome guide by the way!
Ive studied your build and with just tempers and decent stats on items, I did a t99 NM dung at lvl81. Not even one glyph at 15.
thnaks for the build, I´ll try it out this season 🏹
Question! So I saw you maxed out dark shroud but then if you have the poison skill (like in your skill bar in your setup) then there’s no room on the skill bar for dark shroud. Am I missing something? (New rouge player here just tryna figure out a bow build :) ) thanks!
Was wondering the same thing
@@abelke there's an aspect that grants chance for free shrouds so you don't need the skill on your action bar
@@thomasparkhurst3880thank you
At this point i really just don't wanna use Puncture again... so this will do it.
Would you consider running Fists of Fate for the lols?
I’m going to build another rogue to give this build a try..
how much should the dodge chance be?
In the planner we don’t use a cursed touch aspect (all content one). What would proc vulnerable if we run increased damage to a set of damage types instead?
Chance to proc vulnerable on ring
@@DiEoxidEoh i see, on one of the rings. Got it, thanks. So 30-35 either through ring or aspect should be enough, right?
Omg, its so much better with that aspect on. Lol I was not procing volnurable at all before
Ate o momento é a build mais divertida que joguei, obrigado pelo guia
Grande, pode me indicar uma build de leveling? Ou essa já dá, é meu segundo char
Def have to try this build. Started sorc. Building rogue next
how do you apply vulnerability all the time in the boss? is that the lucky hit chance?
Have you tested this with the 2 arrow storm aspects?
Yes I have. It's cool looking, but keep in mind you lose 2 damage multiplier aspects to pick up both arrow storm aspects. You'll end up doing more damage still without the arrow storms.
Not to mention, bosses, snakes and elites often time don't just stand still long enough for the full duration of Arrow storms, which is unfortunate.
Thank you! ❤
Thanks for the build and the guide - I love it!
But I have two questions:
Wouldn't it be useful to get some sustain via a Life on hit roll or Cruel Sustenance or Crowded Sage?
And I haven't seen Enshrouding used in any build this season - should'nt that be really strong to avoid oneshots?
Planner has variations for different types of content for that exactly :)
@@DiEoxidE Thanks!
Undying is another option of course. :)
I don t understand about where your grenades com from ? No grenade aspect on your gear.... so 😅 ?
Michel From France
No grenades, Victimise (capstone procs)
are you planning to add stat priorities and gear options on this build on maxroll?
@dieoxide
Thoughts on frostbitten vs innercalm? I suppose innercalm is better for bossing/doing big damage during stagger?
it's really inner calm vs elements more so. In speed content you don't really stand still enough for inner calm, but when pushing high Pit tiers, you do, so that's when you really want it.
I seen you skipped Hunter Killer in Exploit Weakness on the Paragon chart. Is it not that good to have ? doing the same build, just wondering.
It's additive damage. You have a ton already, so additive damage nodes (which is basically all of the paragon board that isn't a legendary node or a node that scales with your key passive) is pretty much useless.
Noob question alert: Old casual player here. I'd like to ask how it is you shimmy around a boss in a circular motion, like in the video, while shooting the boss (completely different direction than you're moving)? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...I'm missing something seemingly very basic.
I messed up… lol I reset my whole skill tree before I heard him say he wouldn’t recommend this build unless you have certain items 🙃
Hello, I need help. I am playing this build and whenever I use Hearthseeker I have only one shot in one creature. In your video I see that arrow is exploding and making aoe dmg. So I asking what I am missing in build? Thank you
Sounds like you're missing quite a few things, most likely the Victimize key passive, not enough lucky hit chance and heartseeker temper on weapon. Use my maxroll guide for reference to see what you're missing.
maxroll.gg/d4/build-guides/heartseeker-rogue-specialized-guide
Thank you. You are right. I had bad key passive 🙈
Appreciate you
resistance not capped?
same question
I literally just had the same thing happen with hectic, lmao. Had a trash aspect on and was like wtf am I doin?!
Considering this build relies on Lucky Hit, can I change one of the aspect to Arrow Storm using Vengeance? I _like_ the skill because it's cool as all hell but I do wonder if it's _useful_ and a DPS plus.
I want to try this build out what are the main things heartseeker and victimize right? I'm just confused on how it fully works
Yes, stack vulnerable damage and atk speed, get some lucky hit as well as some effects on lucky hit and slotting combat if you can swing it juices up those crits. Ranger exploit combat chip control and diminish are the glyphs are use. I killed tormented duriel with this last night. It wont shred uber bosses like a necro w bugged bolts but it works and makes pit and t100 nmd a breeze.
Also try and get heartseeker ranks on pants and malice or weapon mastery on amulet. Preferably malice.
You may feel squishy even at max resists but thats just the rogue life. Play distance in dungeons and pit and only get close to smoke bomb to daze suppressor elites.
Most slept on build this season imo
I have been leveling using your build and I appreciate it! however my question is,.. is this build good for leveling as well?
I can clear boss quite fast, but killing monsters before the boss is relatively slow.. IDK if I should continue keeping this build until Lv100.
I personally need your opinion when u get a chance. Thank you again BOSS. hope you get better ASAP sincerely
Hi. This is definitely not a leveling build. Need the requirements mentioned in the video before trying. Not hard to gear for, but you need the stuff first.
@@DiEoxidE i got all stuff sir. Will try more ty!!
I assume, for maximum efficiency I should reach a total of 85% Bonus to Lucky Hit Chance on items since the elixir is giving me the remaining 15% bonus to get to 100%? That changes 50% base chance for Heartseeker to 100% and pushing this stat further would be almost useless, right?
It's not possible to reach 100%, but you do want to get lucky hit wherever you can.
I’m playing Heartseeker, it’s super fun, but with some differences from your build. I might give your variation a try.
How are you attacking and moving like that? Seems like you're cancelling Heartseeker animation somehow... or is it just because you're using crossbow on this build? I normally see people running bow for this build.
Hold down left click while clicking right click to attack
How are you using dark shroud without it being assigned?
Nvm, I see u have an aspect for it
In your weapons, would you rather use Topaz for basic skill damage 45% vs 20% vulnerable damage?
I was wondering that too - maybe something about how the damages multiply?
What are you using to proc vulnerable?
In the video, accursed touch aspect, but now i have "chance to make enemies vulnerable" stat on a ring.
Ty
This is probably the best Rogue build in Season 4, but I really prefer Barrage.
Could you explain why you go for immobilize rather than freeze on boots l?
already have freeze on 2 other pieces. Want to spread the utility around for faster boss staggers.
@@DiEoxidE Thank you!
that's a lotta damage!!
Now when you see get to 25 percent lucky chance first, that is before any gear?
20% with gear
I slot, my weapons with emeralds. My vulnerable damage is already so damn high. I do not want to sacrifice my crit damage.
Do I get some crit damage in to maximize the damage? I have roughly 1300% vulnerable damage, masterworking like 8/12 and i still only do like 1,5 to 2m crits, its quite low and takes ages to kill uber bosses or clear pit 80+
Increasing your damage looks like making your enemy vulnerable. I don't see anything in this setup that does that. Am I missing something any pointers would be appreciated.
i got a +2 exploit +3 malice amulet how should i go about my masterwork crits
Whatever crits you can land on either to be honest.
well I have 1 question: shadow clone dosn't apply the stacks of victimize? I've never seen anyone using it to kill a boss, but if the clone applies the stack, wouldn't it be better to use it?
Shadow clone is rogues worst skill. Deals no damage, doesn't get any of your multipliers and it doesn't proc victimize.
How do you make so much more damage than me? im stuck on pit 80
It is difficult to make good use of shadow step with a controller. So i moved those points to Shadow Clone ultimate. I'm thinking it can provide another burst of damage output, but i'm a little skeptical. Anyone know if that works as intended?
Shadow step is a pain in the ass on key board and mouse too. You have to target an enemy and hold down the button. Better at closer range. It’s pretty annoying skill.
Shadow step works well if you just target the big boys but with this build its difficult because it’s a ranged build shadow step I feel is more useful for a melee build I use it with my furry build
just reached 1280 vulnerable dmg
Critical dmg 120
Luck hit in everything
There is a cap to vulnerable dmg or it is good at 1280.?
I was able to get even more upgrading gear
There is no cap
@@DiEoxidE thx mate ❤️
How are the enemies becoming vulnerable?
Exploit glyph, % chance to make enemies vulnerable stat on ring
@@DiEoxidE ahhh I see. I def change into the build from barrage too soon haha
What's triggering frigid finesse beside the frostbitten aspect? I've seen other guides spec into frigid finesse but i have not idea what's triggering it?
Chance to freeze utility temper on gear.
@@DiEoxidEthank you! Is it okay to take conceilment over shadowstep?
@@paulb4480 sure!
so better using a bow or a crossbow with this build ?
Bow attacks faster, Crossbow hits harder. In hardcore, this can be crucial as being able to heal quicker from undying aspect is important.
Outside of that, it's mostly preference or whichever rolled better for you.
How do you activate dark shroud when all abilities are accounted for?
@@jacobarnold3582 umbrous aspect on chest.
Probably should have finished the video first, but I was stuck on the skills while playing the game🤣
On the maxroll guide, one of that stat breakpoints you say you want to reach is 600%+ markman crit damage. Where is all that crit damage coming from?
curious bout that too.
wont happen with all the vuln stacking, guess its more a alternative
Accidentally left it in the stats section after I updated the guide on Wednesday.
Before, crit damage wasn't a temper on PTR, so marksman crit damage was the way to go, but ya definitely don't do marksman now haha.
I'll fix it today.
Can use any Uber on this build ? How best Uber for him ?
Shako is the only uber unique i'd consider using for this build.
Please help! How to trigger vulnerable if there are no skills in the assigned skills that trigger it?
Exploit glyph, accursed touch aspect, chance to proc vulnerable stat on a ring.
The guide on Maxroll is not showing Hectic Aspect.. which do I follow?
Check the pinned comment. Updates will happen to the planner and maxroll guide as the season progresses.
Always follow the planner.
how can you using ur left lick + mouvement pls ? cause it is hard to kite + put the cursor on the mob everytime
Force move hotkey probably.
Does shadow clone work well on this build too?
Shadow "Clown" is unfortunately awful. Does not get the bonuses from multiplicative aspects amongst other things, so it deals terrible damage.
@@DiEoxidE Noted
@@DiEoxidE Also does the smoke grenade 25% dmg debuff affect bosses?
I'm confused. Why so many skill points in Dark Shroud but its not in the skill bar
Umbrous Aspect procs dark shroud for free.
For apply vulnerable what source are you using? only exploit rune ? please need to understand
Accursed Touch aspect makes cursed enemies vulnerable. You can also roll chance to proc vulnerable both rings, but that stat is weighted and hard to get.
Hello, I have a little problem - where can you get the Adaptavity aspect? I read, that in season 3 it was a reward for Season Journey, but can't find it anywhere in S4, and I don't believe that I didn't drop a single one :D
It's pretty rare. That's why my roll is so low as well :(
how are you getting vulnerable to proc in this build?
Exploit glyph and % chance to make enemies vulnerable stat on a ring
I'm confused on how this build makes it's targets vulnerable. I can't find any ability in it's arsenal that actually makes the enemy vulnerable.
"chance to make enemies vulnerable" stat on a ring, or Accursed Touch aspect.
