Thanks for watching the video, the Hewes Craft is an excellent boat, we still have it on the job site, down in Savanah. When it comes home, it will be heading out on Lake Michigan.
Look into the DD26 mean mount for your Suzuki. I have been using them for my Mercury Pro XS and now my Honda 250. It works great and no need to use those transom poles from lower unit to the trailer. Also, they make a great steering lock so the motor stays straight while trailering.
Awsome job, beautiful build. Thanks
Glad you like it
Great video I’m looking to buy a ocean boat for the Great Lakes and Hewes craft, duckworth and Raider are what I’m interested in

Nice upgrades! What did you use on the roof where the wires go through to keep it water tight?
I used a rubber gromet and Bostik Marine Sealant, its tight. Thanks for watching!!
You don't need 2x4s. There are aluminum brackets under the starboard seat.
Thanks, I found brackets. they work better than the 2 x 4
