Try to update the app and unpair the smart watch from your phone by going to your phone's bluetooth settings. Then try to add the smart watch again by going into your Mi Fit Profile and click add device. I had struggled for a while but when I did this it instantly worked and paired with no problem in the app. I also removed my old Mi Band 4 so maybe that helped as well
