My father worked for Indian Railways
He was at Bhopal junction, inhaled the poison to clear the railway traffic to stop trains from coming to bhopal and clearing ones already in the section.
He got extremely infected thankfully some good deeds and prayers saved him and my whole family.
Can say lots of railway men like him served that night putting own life at stake
No better praise for brave men than their memory living in the people and their families who survived the tragedy because of them.

My dad was 31 when he suffered 1st heart attack while saving lives of many in bhopal when ppl were in a bus and their driver ran away my dad drove tht bus out of the city later he suffered a heart attack luckily he survived tht time but after few years he left us. Nobody knows about him about that incident how my dad bravely helped many ppl he's an unsung hero he always said one thing daayen haanth se kaam aisa kro ki baayen haanth ko bhi pata na chale.❤

I have learned about the gas leak in Bhopal at school, but seeing the series was a whole different level experience, it was definitely heartbreaking.
The bravery of the railway men was beyond incredible.
The ordinary, imperfect men acted when mostly corrupt politicians were out of touch with reality and focused on their interests.
It’s a must watch.

Kamruddin saved many more lives by stopping the chain reaction , disconnecting 20 tonnes of MIC at the cost of his own life and the life of his family! It breaks my heart to see his wife suffering and living at bad condition with a disabled child.

I live in bhopal. My grandfather died during this leak. Probably the biggest man made disaster in India which destroyed countless family. This trailer made me emotional. How the people survived here itself a huge milestone.

As a chemical engineering graduate from Malaysia, I was taught about the Bhopal incident and how dirty, nasty and greedy corporations can be. This will live on as a cautionary tale for chemical engineers for generations to come..my lecturer said if only they taught the people around them about emergency measures...by wetting rags and putting it on their face they couldve prevent this humanitarian disaster and saved everyone around the plant

I have been a chemical engineer working in the field for years now, working globally for various industries as a SME, and unfortunately, these types of hazards are still quite prevalent, especially in countries like India (not directing attention or blame). This is still a consequence of the same negligence you see in the series. It has improved, but serious hazard still exists.

Finished this 4 episodes series and must say it perfectly encapsulated the helplessness, valour and united struggle of common citizens who became victim of this tragedy. All actors were phenomenal and direction was top notch.

The great Rajiv Gandhi who is still celebrated in this country, Airports, Railway stations, villages, awards are named after him. For what? 1st For helping his rich friend get permits to build factories without proper safety protocols and 2nd for helping his rich friend leave the country, the same friend who is responsible for this gas leak.

One of the best series I've seen in a while..... Really fills you up with pride to see the valour of your fellow countrymen at times of need. A must watch. The cast is fantastic. Babil Khan and KK Menon gave an amazing performance worthy of applause. The entire cast even the supporting characters were very convincing. A truly thrilling experience.

Being a Bhopali , whenever I go from the bhanpur bridge i can see union carbide and still one can smell the pain in the air one can feel the tragedy that had happened in 1984. Every Family in old bhopal has a tragic story and a member who was gone in 84 .
Just finished the 4 episodes. Man, what an experience! I had learned about BGT in study and knew it had a heavy casuality, but it was just a number to me. But after finishing the series, it felt like getting first hand experience how bad the deal was with the gas leak and why it wasn't just a number. The emotions really felt spine chilling. It truly changed my way viewing it. All the heroes who sacrificed themselves to protect people will be forever memoralised.
There should be more content of topic dealing with this kinds of scenarios in the bollywood industry. Honestly all the words are few when I am thinking about praising the show.
I binged it breathlessly, cried 10 times involuntarily, moreover my heart broke badly, ended up speechlessly. Salute to the real unsung heroes and RIP to all the victims. Dunno know what to say anymore. One of the heart wrenching series of Netflix tbh.
We need more shows like these, telling the story of past with transparency. There are loads of incidents which happened in India which should be known to the whole world.
As a chemical engineer, this was the first incident they went into great detail for us to learn what went wrong. It’s the worst tragedy in the chemical industry and truly unfortunate that it happened

I am basically from Kerala but my maternal family is settled in Bhopal. My mom has told me about the tensed situation during that time. This tragedy happened in old Bhopal and my grandparents and mom and uncles were in new Bhopal so they were safe. But seriously this was a huge tragedy and it's so great to see this series been made!

Being a Delhiite, this made me so much emotional. We were only taught about this tragedy in our school and I always wondered how did a manmade disaster destroyed countless lives. Now I got my answer, feel so sorry for all the loss our people suffered in Bhopal that fateful day. 🥺😭

Glad this story has been made into a series. Although there has always been a lot written about this immense tragedy, nothing is more impactful than its depiction in popular media. The last line "Hum na jaan lene walon ko sazaa dete hain aur na jaan bachane walon ko shabashi" is so true. Every govt has blood on its hands. People just pay the price and are forced to move on. Since Govts are synonmous with blunders, no one should last too long in a position of power. It's the only way to keep govt ego in check.

i m from pakistan my parents were from bhopal some of my relatives were the victims of the incident we watched the news on tv my patents were crying they were in so much pain bcz they were helpless as the others i have lost my parents but still i can feel their pain for their birth place and God forbid it wont happen again anywhere in the world my sympathy and love for all my indian brothers and sisters who r suffering

i feel bad for Imad Riaz. he used the last of his energy just to stop 2 trains from crashing but it would have to risk his life. and there he dies. the statue of his family was something i’d never forget. he was a true hero.

I am from Bhopal, my family stayed in Jehangirabad Bhopal at the time of gas tragedy. My grandmother tells me about the situation at that time and how the family spend the night. And after days by days.. whole story gave me goosebumps..like when i try to feel the situation of that time.. i feel like..... 🙂

As I'm a Bhopali, that day was my 18th b'day..after my bday party, it happened, I remember very well, all gas tragedy stories still in my eyes and on my mouth, I always tell all these to my kids, my fiends, my students ..and whenever I tell them, all incidents comes in front on my eyes, looks like it was yesterday only..we lost our so many friends and कॉल्स ones..these are not stories, these are nightmare 😢...in this series Hope they showed thruth behind the seen..

In this entire movie, I got goosebumps continuesly. It's heart breaking and so emotional to watch. If it is so disheartning to watch as movie, so imagine how was so scary and saddened in reality. Salute to all those railway men who stood up in the end and sacrify their life to save many. Hats off. We heared and learnt this incident in our school books only but we didn't know how scary this incident in real life. Thank you to the direction for enlighting on this incident. Seriously, I am too emotional after watching this, it will take time to get me into sense. RIP to all those ppl who are no more :(

I am Bhopali, lived through it, though not directly affected (BHEL Township). I am crying here watching this trailer, far away in America. My parents are good friends with one of the railway men, and we have heard their story of that night first-hand.

I live up listening to the tales of that bloody night... and grew up watching strikes and rallies done by Bhopalis to fight for the punishment of the ones whos negligence was there behind the incident.. but till date no proper compensation is given to the people.. many died that night... and more than that died there were millions who suffered health issues throughout their lifes.. I hope this series bring the attention back to them.. and they will get their demands met..

I was 4 years old in 1984, we lived between the new and old part of Bhopal, it was said that Methyl Isonate gas had a moderate effect, but the condition of Bhopal was 100 times more terrible than this story. For more than a month, there were rumors. I have some hazy memories of the time when people used to run away carrying handkerchiefs in the drains, but the conditions were worse than imagination, still, due to the great acting of a great actor like KK Menon and the excellent acting of all the actors, this is a tremendous series.

I usually take my time to finish a web series. But the first episode of this particular web series simply forced me to finish it at one go. This has to be once in a lifetime masterpiece in the history of Indian web series. Absolutely spine chilling facts were displayed which have been hidden from our public since ages due to the corrupt politics of our netas. My heartfelt condolences to the entire victims and survivors of this tragic incident. And special kudos to the entire team of The Railway Men.❤❤😊😊
