2:55 that sign is a plus-minus sign, which means both operations would work in this case. considering one person sees 6 and the other 9 they agreed on 7,5 plus-minus 1,5 which results is 9 and 6 and therefore would satisfy both viewpoints

7:32 he was not only aware, but he shamed Rudolph and his father for Rudolph’s nose at the beginning of the movie. He was an active part of the bullying.
and then only STOPPED bullying him when it was a benefit TO stop and we're supposed to act like santa's the good guy here?
Fuck's sake he knew that one elf was being bullied at work by his boss. FML dude was so fed up with the lack of a dental plan he was willing to go 'fuck it i'm becoming a dentist so everyone else here can have some not fucked up teeth' and was being FUCKIGN BULLIED OVER IT.
@@singletona082 I have a little theory that Hermey isn’t even an elf to begin with, and has a Buddy-esque situation. It sounds silly, but hear me out:
Hermey has rounded ears, like a human, instead of pointed. This is what really got me thinking about it once I noticed and is my biggest piece of evidence. It’s a very strange, specific detail- why would he have round ears when pointed ears are basically _the_ defining trait of elves, both Christmas and fantasy alike?
Hermey has hair- none of the other male elves have hair. This might just be a cultural thing rather than sexual dimorphism, in which the male elves shave their heads but are capable of growing hair, so this is a very minor point but I felt it was worth bringing up.
And of course, Hermey isn’t good at/doesn’t enjoy toy making. Christmas elves seem to not only have an ingrained enjoyment of the job, but an insane aptitude for it, which a human wouldn’t be able to keep up with. This would explain Hermey’s lack of interest and skill in the given subject. I’m pretty sure he lacked skill, unless I’m getting mixed up with Elf.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk even though it was only partially relevant to the conversation, I just really wanted to tell someone about it lol.
But if Hermey was human, Santa would likely be aware/responsible for this, and it’s pretty unfair to hold a human to the unrealistic toy-producing standards of an elf (as we have seen in Elf) which is a massive dick move on Santa’s part.
@@EndertheDragon0922 That’s a very interesting theory that makes a lot of sense. I noticed the round ears but never had thought this far into it until now.
But that was just 1 movie
My brother had a meltdown when he first saw that movie because “santa’s mean”
It is pretty cool whenever a poster includes a text description of what's in the image (like in the case of the lemon), as it means that someone with significant visual impairment can still get what's going on if they're browsing with a text-to-speech program.

Nobody knows what Shakespeare actually looked like. Only one artist painted him, but the artist was known for giving all of his portraits the same face.
Which is fair enough because Shakespeare's contemporaries were right about him being a hack.
@@LegendStormcrow In what way was he a hack? There’s a lot of theories on who Shakespeare was, or that he has his work ghostwritten or if he never existed his body of work is just a collection of similar works, some perhaps by a few of the same people. None of this takes away from the fact that most of the popular Shakespeare works are quite good. Do you dislike many of the actual works?
@@eldontyrell4361 I stand with contemporaries that he's currently over rated. Romeo and Juliet was likely unoriginal when written, and is a romance story on the level of Twilight. He also called Joan of Arc a whore, so there is that too.

I recently had a friend who thought the egg yolk was what a baby chicken dissolved into, and that every time she ate an egg, a chick had died to let it happen.
That is not how it works, the rooster does his thing to his hens. Then a hen either has to sit on the eggs for a little over three weeks, or the farmer has to put the eggs in an incubator for the same amount of time. An egg isn't a former chick, if you have roosters in the flock, an egg is a potential chick.
This does not stop chickens from eating their own eggs.
I mean, once it becomes an egg it’s no longer a potential chick lol I’m very helpful
@@alexreid1173 no, it’s always been an egg until it hatches or gets cracked open
@@alexreid1173 Per Schrödinger's Cat- with the egg being the box, the chick being the cat- the egg could be considered both a chick and not a chick until the state is verified through observation.

Being struck by lightning is quite common ( relatively ) for farm workers in New Zealand. And not always fatal, far from it.
I have been in a field when my eldest brother was struck, his heart stopped as far as we could detect, but he was still breathing, spasmodically. Two of us took turns giving him CPR and by the time the ambulance arrived he was sitting up and being argumentative, he lived. Burns down his back.
I knew a neighbour who was in a boat fishing when it was hit, he was badly burnt and in a wheel chair afterwards , he was permanently deaf in one ear, the palm of his hand was blown off, and it took decades for him to regain the use of that arm. The other guy who had been in the fishing boat with him had numbness in his hands all his life afterwards.
And I knew another guy who was swimming at the stern of a yacht that got hit, he said he felt nothing electrical but the sound was so huge that it was like being struck all over . Everyone was temporarily deafened including him, they recovered, someone pointed out his watch to him, which on inspection, the metal expanding band was spot-wielded along one side. Not a mark on his body though.
question: I know that fishing when a storm is nearby is not a good idea and (if the storm the fishers were struck by was known to the general public of the area [ie, not sudden]) then they shouldn't have been out there anyway. But for those sudden storms or similar occurrences of reasonable ignorance, would it make sense to have a sort of lightning rod on the boats?
the “100% of people struck by lightning die” is referring to the fact that even if they survive the lightning, they’ll die eventually… because everyone dies eventually… so technically all of them do die!

6:33 Technically speaking life is not sexually transmitted as you don't have sex with the thing you give life to, instead it is actually sexually mediated. We have also not proven that life is always fatal as there are still people alive that haven't died yet.
6:49 Technically speaking it is not always true that half of the world's population is below average intelligence, it depends on the amount of people with very high intelligence compared to very dumb people. Let's say we have 10 people 9 of which we give an intelligence of 100, 1 person however has an intelligence of 110, the average intelligence becomes 1010 / 10 which is 101 intelligence, this means 90% of the population of this group is below average intelligence for this group.
So based on the current political climate I'd say we have a far more than 50% people that are above average intelligence at this moment.
