Great sermon. The memorization of points, exposition of text, illustrations, natural way of speaking, open bible at hand and spontaneity is really worth emulating. Thanks pastor, as a starting out preacher I'm learning a lot from you.

I love your ministry and listen often. I was surprised to hear that you send children away for the sermon. They need your solid preaching too and the example of faithful older saints. I have nine children and they’ve always stayed with us for the sermon and adult Sunday schools (that part could be an issue of preference) but they pick up so much even in the little years. I know the decisions have been made carefully but I thought it was unusual for a reformed congregation to have children’s church. That aside, thank you for making your sermons available online. I really enjoy them.

I'm currently transitioning from Baptist to Presbyterian. I live in Texas where the culture is primarily Baptist. I've been trying to talk with my wife about the Presbyterian church and because of Covid she is uneasy about going to any public meetings so she's left with an uneasy imagination of something like a "Pentecostal church". I was able to put this sermon on our TV to watch together and it showed her just how biblically good the teaching of the OPC church is.
Thanks pastor! I really appreciate it!

How do we best move past semantical arguments? I find that the most innocuous points in the Bible are the points that push people away from the faith. How do we best avoid getting bogged down in minutiae, and instead expound on the Truths given to us by God.
