It’s a cool rig . Just a mention, there’s no grease in diffs or transfer case. Another scale detail is the hood louvers , they go through but the louvers on body don’t. I put a fusion pro 2300 kv in mine and it’s very overpowered , however I got it for the modulation. If I had to do it again I’d go with fusion SE .

Just put some blue injora inserts during the livestram. Recommend red if you want no tire roll and simulate fully inflated tires. Fusion se 1200 or 1800kv is game changer.

I'm also late to the party and have just bought a used blue FJ. It's been upgraded by the previous owner and he's only used it once in his garden. It's got a new Hobbywing Fusion SE 1800kv motor, white deep dish metal beadlocks, and metal oil shocks. It's being delivered next week and I'm very excited to see how it performs on the trails. I also got the Mashigan at Christmas which I'm in the process of upgrading. FMS do some of the best scale hard bodies and I'm tempted to get the 1/6 Suzuki Jimny LJ10 too.

I recommend using scx24 screws for the mirrors! It made a world of difference

I put a hobbywing 1080 in mine along with some Gmade shocks (cheap ebay purchase) Treal vintage wheels and jconcepts holds. It is so smooth and nice to drive now it's not even funny. We'll see how it goes for the long run on durability
