Our Education policies and pedagogy should be overhauled. Most Nigerian Teachers (even parents) are still trying to beat out ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Hearing Issues, Eye problems, and Developmental delays in students/children 🙈🙈🙈, stooooppppp eeeeettttt
Shame on teacher for this despicable act. In developed climes children don't start school till 5 or 6 years. Again, education ministry should spell.out penalties for certain offences by pupils because it's looking like they are clueless
I don’t know what a 3 year old could possibly know that the teacher is beating him for not knowing how to write. My son is turning 4 and though he’s great at tracing, writing the numbers from scratch is hard work. Then he’s even in daycare and not school and my friends and family members always exclaim when I tell them he has homework. They’re like homework bi ti ba wo?! At this age?!
I have experienced my friend who taught a class telling me one boy was very full, when l took over the class,l realized they weren't dull and that there was a boy who was very smart at running errands but would write backwards and couldn't read properly but was orally sound in terms of recitations. Qualifications don't really matter more than experiences and initiative. It's not by certificate but by personality, experience and initiative, majorly
The teacher is not expected to hit the boy on head severally, it's bad and she's doing it in anger to that little boy, the boy will not have physical injury but have emotional fear
I am a teacher. There is absolutely no need for corporal punishment. There are other ways. There are ways to teach a slow learner. A 3years old should be in playschool, learning with visuals, then slate nd chalk. A chalk is shorter than a pencil. The child will be 4years in Kg1. He or she learns by tracing numbers, thereafter the teacher writes nd the child copies. Writing books are very important at 4 years. Nowadays most schools don't even have Writing books
Most of these teachers in these ad hoc schools are not qualified in any way to teach. Again with government failing its citizens, lack of regulation is why many of these teachers are running amok with their unethical practices. Yes, the burden is on the school itself to hire appropriate and qualified teachers but if the government was doing its job, we won’t be here in the first place.

Also for kindergarten classes, the teachers must be two or three depending on the size of the class
If the have a child protection policy in place that is operational, nobody should lay a hand on a three year old baby
Where is Beecee oh. I would have loved to hear her view on this.
Yeah.. because that's her area of specialization
