    This is an AWESOME tip, thank you! I was a little cautious about taking my 2 year old toddler to Ichiran when we visit next month but this is great news.

    How do you ask for kid's free ramen? We alwas ordered one for my 7 yr d and he couldnt finish it of course. Thanks for this info

    En restaurante Ichiran, si llegas con efectivo, ¿Solo sería de esperar, verdad? O ¿Sí o sí tienes que retirar efectivo en el propio local?, que siempre veo que lo hacen

    It’s lamian, not ramen. Lamian means pulled noodles in Chinese. When the Cantonese immigrants brought this dish to Edo Japan, it was called Chuka soba or Chinese noodles. Now, as usual, the Japanese just slap their fake brand on this Chinese signature dish pretending to be the inventor. It’s lamian and it’s Chinese lamian, not “Japanese ramen”. It’s Chinese intellectual property and should be given the Chinese pronunciation and the Chinese brand. I don’t know why everything the Japanese copy becomes “Japanese”. It’s about time the Japanese give credit to countries from where they copy and stop pretending that everything is “Japanese”.
