Great pair of videos for the hike to Troll Tunga. I have just started a training program in preparation for doing this hike, along with Preikestolen and kerjag next spring.summer.(I dont have the benefit of your youth though...lol) I found this one of the most informative on what to expect for the hike itself. Being Canadian, and having lived a couple years in Norway I could entirely relate to your comments in the first part of this comparing the two and totally agree on how ridiculously beautiful everywhere is in Norway! Oh and of course the tips on the fear of heights...:)

Planning a 4-5 day backpacking trip, and trying to travel light on photo gear....1 lens. Would you recommend 10-20 or 17-50 on a Canon 7D Mark II (cropped sensor)? Thanks for your time.
some friends and I did this hike. We were just as scared standing up there but we watched some asian tourists getting their photos taken on the edge of the tongue and a rockslide happened across the lake. Sounded like gun shots so we watched them immediately run to safety. It was sort of funny for us but had to of been terrifying for them!
hey Brendan, what lens and settings were used on that photo of you out on the tongue and do you use lightroom or photoshop? If you don't mind me asking, I am a baby in my new life in photography. thanks
hİ Brendan:) is that midnight sun for all norway or just the very north part? and for all year around or just a short period of time?! cant imagine for a regular thing for everyday!!!!
Trolltunga is in the southern part of Norway. The sun goes down even midsummer, but it's still up for like 22 hours, so it can be hard to sleep in a tent if you're not used to it. In the winter it's the other way around. The sun may be up for 2 hours a day. In northern Norway, the sun doesn't show up at all midwinter. However when the whether is clear, you might see the aurora borealis, which can light up the sky a little.
