the felt washers that came off the car were in quite good shape, and we were able to reuse them after soaking them in degreaser for a few days. we originally planned on cutting new ones from a felt sheet but decided the originals were good enough. the retainers are available I believe from Andy Burnbaum DeSoto parts, which sells tons of odd stuff for these cars
Thanks for replying. I've been looking on Andy's site and maybe I missed them or maybe they come with other kits. The home made method may be the best. I'll have to go to an auto parts store and see if they have the right felt material. I'm not certain which would do the job.
Almost all the parts we got from the link below or ebay www.oldmoparts.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4NujBhC5ARIsAF4Iv6cev_YyJoMMHya-UoM4hhlbVcGfQ3xNC0LIPJvDe5Yl4S3fmOUoOOYaAggGEALw_wcB
