2014 Subaru BRZ: Chasing Mark's E36 M3 Coupe
Переглядів 1155 місяців тому
Texas Region SCCA Time Trials Event #5 at MSRC, spent part of the first session chasing Mark in his M3. The E36 might be 30 years old, but has more than enough power to make a tuned BRZ really work to keep up. It's always fun chasing someone on track who has more skill than you do, you learn far more when they're ahead of you!

1948 DeSoto Deluxe Coupe: Dropping the oil pan to see what surprises we find
Переглядів 2,5 тис.9 місяців тому
Dropped the oil pan on the 48 DeSoto, the pan came down fairly easily. Once down we were able to inspect one of the rod bearings to see what the condition of the bottom end of the engine is. Thankfully, despite spending some time under water, the bearings are in remarkably good shape, and we should be able to run the engine as is
2002 Lexus IS300: Prototype 3D Printed Master Cylinder Brace, Quick Install and Function
Переглядів 1489 місяців тому
Trying out a 3D printed prototype brake master cylinder brace for the IS300, super light, definitely adds some brake feel, does take the place of the strut bar mount but that is a worthy exchange as far as I'm concerned. Will have to take it to and autocross and a track day to see how it feels under full send braking, and see if it can survive my driving

How did you clearance the pivots? Take a little off the bottom? It was a bit of a pain getting these in, the exhaust not so much but the intake ugh. Was hoping be okay being a little tight, not adding any boost, will be street car with hill climbs in the summer

WOW, I thought sure that the tranny was synchronized. You shift really well. Even my car to this day, I shift using the engine speed to shift. Either down or up. Between each gear, is about 500 rpm.'s. So watching the tach, you can make a shift without any notice of a jerk.

@@bailoutgarage1249Thanks. There are a couple of radial sizes that are supposed to be replacements for the 6.70-15's. 205/75/R15 and 225/75/R15. All four of my tires are flat and I just was some cheap tires to lift the car up and to be able to roll it. I see some trailer tries would match and for $55 seem like they'd do the trick. It will be some time till I have a trial run. I really, really enjoy your videos. They help out a lot. I was pleasantly surprised you have a new one. Hope more on on the way soon.
