    Dear .that black thing you mentioned as figs were not figs actually. It was black lime which we mostly use for cooking with the traditional meal called kabsa .

    what makes Dates so amazing is not only the sugar quantity but it has a lot of fiber which is what keeps you feeling full for so long

    Those windows are their answer to heat in Saudi Arabia. There was no air conditioning so they had to be creative. I suspect it has to do something with sun light either for keeping it out or spreading the light in. Genius design for their times.     “Al-Rawashin” is Hijazi Arabic architecture Saudi Arabian ancestry brought that architectural feature to all the Islamic countries opened by the Arabs in Arabic language and Islam during the golden age and even before you can find traces of them in Spain as well as in some North African countries during the Hijazi and Najdi Arab conquests🇸🇦❤

    The architecture you see is from here, from the city of Jeddah or the Hijaz region and Saudi Arabia in general. The ancient Saudi Arabs, currently, transferred it to Spain in the west and to Central Asia in the east.

    coffee is on the expensive side that is true but they are also high quality. I've been to many places around the world but the coffee quality in Saudi are the best. People prefer to pay more for better quality here

    In every Arabic house you gonna find that Incense especially in the Arabian peninsula it's a perfume for the whole house and clothes and the expensive types they use it for mosques There is a pre Islamic history behind The trade of the Incense Road It's actually started from Yemen especially from Socotra Island and it was famous during Roman and Persian empires also before that during Egyptian's civilization they all use it for their temples and that Road It was like The old silk Road that started from china to the whole world but that was for a smaller world and their transportation was by Camels in the desert but how they were communicate with all of these different languages we really don't know!!

    You have to experience the old town in the evening it’s so much better and buzzing and amazing encounters with locals along with such good food.
    Also you HAVE to go snorkelling it is incredible! One of the best in the work. Close to the city and you can then spend time within the private club.

    the cat feeding is new. it started in 2020 when curfew happened people couldn't go outside and feed the cats like normal. so the governor realise many cats are going hungry so they put the cat feeders out

    My father-in-law used to live in one of those big old empty houses decades ago when he was a child. He told me that the wood they used for windows and balconies came from wrecked ships in the Red Sea.
    I’ve been inside that house once and it was fascinating to see so many secret chambers, unpredictable hallways and tiny stairs everywhere ! A real maze !
    All those old houses are now under the care of the ministry of culture and tourism. They are named after the families who used to live in them, and they are all famous and renowned descendants who live in the modern world now.

      It is great that these have been preserved. Aramco World had an extensive article about these houses and the mashrabiyyah (lattice work which shaded the porches and allowed women to peek out without being seen)

    At night the place is out of this world, so beautiful. You missed the most important building in whole Old Jeddah! Nassif House and the Portuguese cannons Infront of the house. Jeddah was attacked by the Portuguese in the 15th century when Jeddah was part of the Ottoman Empire, but they defeated the Portuguese ships, and the cannons were extracted from the ships and placed Infront of the house. You also missed one of the oldest mosques in the world built about one thousand four hundred years ago.

    Dates are most important food in saudi arabia 🇸🇦 with full of protein and calories that make u feel full. Some dates have a lot of sugar and some have a small amount of sugar. I prefer one called Sukkari 🤤👌

Dates are a healthy substitute for white sugar in recipes due to their sweet taste, nutrients, fiber and antioxidants. The dates with the lowest sugar content are called “Ikhlass” which are grow in many regions of Saudi Arabia and Middle East .. .
