Hi, I can't get this to work on my Huawei P30 Pro. I just don't get the pop-up despite being connected to the same Wi-Fi and having bluetooth turned on as they say. What can be wrong?
Hi, i'm not getting the popup on my phone and my chromebook keeps saying "Connection lost with your phone". I did everything you said in the video, and i'm not using the flag version of phone hub. My chromebook is version 93 on the stable channel, and my phone is running Android 11.
Hi there! Are you able to connect to wifi and use bluetooth devices on both your phone and Chromebook? If you are sure those features work, we recommend trying these troubleshooting steps from Google. -If your phone and your Chromebook were previously paired over Bluetooth, remove the pairing from both devices. -Make sure Bluetooth has been turned on for both devices. -Turn your phone's Bluetooth off then on again. -Turn your Chromebook off then on again.
@@WhatTheTechIO I can't pair a phone to my Chromebook, they just don't pop up. If you mean phone hub then yeah I tried that and it doesn't change anything.
Hi Ali, This should work with any Android phone. You do need to be running Chrome OS version 71 on your Chromebook, and Android version 5.1 on your phone.
Hi Jeffrey, we recommend restarting both your phone and Chromebook and trying again. This is a fairly common problem getting Phone Hub set up initially. If that doesn't work try turning bluetooth and wifi on and off on both devices.
Which carriers support browsing the internet on my Chromebook? I know some will begin buffering the service if they detect abuse. It would be great to use my phone as a hotspot for my Chromebook legally, and without fear of reduced bandwidth as a result.
Hi Martin. The carrier who has the best mobile hotspot plan changes pretty frequently. Currently it is probably Verizon. Their plans usually involve a set amount of data (i.e. 30GB) at 4G/5G speeds, and then slower data once you have used your allotment. So definitely legal to use as much as you want, just not unlimited 4G/5G speeds.
Hi there, If you follow the video to the 2:00 marker you can see a 'disconnect' button at the bottom of the page. If you select that you will disconnect your phone!
No distractions. Got straight to the point. 10/10
Will this work on iPhone or do I have to wait for my MacBook or buy a Google Pixel phone
