I'm really liking Sketchbook, it's such a direct software app. I wish the mobile and desktop had all the same features though mainly for grids.
Yeah it is weird that they have some different functionalities on the different versions.
@@robertlkiss right, I'm learning perspective and i can't customize the grid on desktop it's a bit frustrating but still overall very good.
@@robertlkiss to
agree, a grids tool would be excellent

Great pace for someone like me who’s using Procreate on a regular basis but want to know my way around an app to recommend for Android users as well. Some of the features are really neat although I’d miss being able to name layers. Going to play a bit with the app now. Thank you for this helpful and informative tutorial!

Superb summary of the mobile version.. there are enough variations between the desktop and mobile version to make this very useful.. thx

I'm going to be sending this message around. I don't have a UA-cam channel, not going to make one but I found out something new in sketchbook. In advanced sketches setting, you can click on shape and change the shape of your brush. I don't know if some people knows this but😱.
I usually use Krista but when my pc is not available I use sketch book on Android tablet. Your video is a great reminder of where everything is. Great thanks
Glad you liked it!

@@robertlkiss thank you a lot!
Is there a left handed interface like Procreate? I enjoy sketching in Sketchbook, but it gets annoying having to hide all of the menus all the time before I draw. There also seems to be no way to move around the tool boxes/menus. 😢
This was great! Please do another tutorial going deeper in depth!
I'm curious what you mean by going more in depth. To my knowledge I covered everything about the app. Can you point out what I'm missing?
@@robertlkiss I apologize, I see the series of videos and I know I speak for all in saying, Thankyou!!!
How does one resize canvas after it’s been created?
Hey! I love your videos, and I'm learning a lot. Thanks for sharing. I have a quick question I can't find online. I'm using an Android Samsung tablet. Can you import color pallets into the app? I paint murals, and I'm using this app to make concepts. If I can add the Montana colors to the pallets, I can have my colors match up. Thanks!
Thank you. Sadly I am not familiar with the android version but I’m sure it is working similar to the apple version. If you go to Colors and the the swatches button(middle one out of the 3 on the top) there should be two arrows in the bottom middle that will let you switch between your swatches, create your own and also extract from images and photos. That should solve your problem.
Hi and thanks so much! I can't find any info on the double tap to switch tools on Galaxy Tab S7. Do you know if it can be done? I did set the double tap on top right corner to last brush which does the same thing, but I have to move my hand to the top.
I have the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite!
Awesome tutorial!!!!
Glad you liked it!
I like this software more than any others.
thanks for this great tutorial
Glad you found it useful!
Nice tutorial. I am new to sketchbook and your tutorial is amazing. How to save our work and export them?
Glad you liked it. Just tap save and then you can choose to export it to the gallery files or share it online.
How do i alter the selection's size without deforming it?
Also how do i select all layers in order to alter all their shapes at the same time?
Is there liquify option?
When we do Sketch and Shading in different layers, how can we move and transform multiple layers ( sketch layer and shading layer ) together without merging ?
You can't.
Hellooo may i ask which brushes do you usually use?? Thank youuu and ngl you have an awesome vids!
Check any of my latest videos, there is a link to my favorite brushes in the description .
Thank you so much bro
Welcome ^_^
Great tutorial. But I'm really searching for how to set dpi to 300 in autodesk sketchbook on ipad pro. Can u help me with that sir
That is a good question, sadly I have no idea how to do that :(
Thank you so much for this tutorial ! I learn so much :) . Could you just please tell me what's the name of what you are wearing on your drawing hand? I think it is for not making mistake with the side of your hand?
You should look for "smudge guard" there are many online retailers where you can get one from.
@@robertlkiss Thx! ^^
I cut 3 holes 2 small and one large in the end of a stocking and it works great lol
You just got my subscription 💕
Thank you very much!

Mind blowing 🤯 for a newbie like me 😁
Hope it helps!
great video, you helped a lot with it. thank you 🇭🇺
Glad you found the video useful ^_^
Hello,
Can an Apple Pencil work with an IPhone 12 Pro? I first tried Auto desk sketchbook today and it’s really great, however i feel for me using my finger is a little finicky for me and I don’t know anything I could use that could give me the precise details… thanks!
Sadly I have absolutely no idea. I know drawing tables work with Android phones but I don't know about Apple.
That intro was incredible hahaha
Tank you ^_^
Thank you for this tutorial! I have one question that would greatly help me, is there a way to prepare artwork made in AS mobile for printing? Can I decide the dpi and change the colour to CMYK?
I don't work that much in Sketchbook but last time I checked it didn't support CMYK
@@robertlkiss thank you!
Could you explain the locking a layer and then coloring?
I have a tutorial on sketchbook desktop version here I do that. Take a look if that doesn't help dm me on discord.
Very, very good tutorial 👍🏻
Thank you, glad you like it!
Please how can I share the screen with a reference and the canvas like in photoshop
In iPad you just split the screen like you would do with any other app. I have no experience with android devices.
Great detailed tutorial. What tablet are you using?
It's an iPad pro 2018
Hello sir...great tutorial 👍Can you do a product design(Pen and paper) tutorial for extreme beginner level?...Since I want to go into Product design..🙏

Can i start a drawing in sketchbook in iPad and finish it in desktop? By saving it on a cloud storage??? Please let me know. Thanks!!
Yes for sure. There are many cloud storage applications you can use google drive, dropbox etc.
Nice tutorial thankyou
Thanks!
Thanks 👍🙏👍🙏
Tbh sketchbook is such underrated app ,its insane
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. i use thye mobile version. my Selection tool not working. When dragging the rectangle the dotted line disappear as soon as I let go and the magic wand just never appears. Do you have any solution?
That should not happen. Does it always work like that.did you try creating a new document and using it there?
I’ve just downloaded this app and I never knew there’s so much to it ,,
Hope you will enjoy it :)
Thank u👍
Thank you ^_^
Do you know how to access the Copic marker colour palette on the IPad?
There is no more Copic color palette. Autodesk had the deal with Copic but ever since Sketchbook left Autodesk they don't have the rights to that. But they have a vatuaty collection of colors swatches on ipdad under the colors tab that does the same thing exactly
I was greatly disturbed by the intro, nice video!
Haha awesome disturbing people and then educating them is my purpose ^_^
Thank you for your share... but for me I think your line draw example its just to little (as a viewer from my monitor) I just cant see a difference of each line or colour you made... perhaps try make a bigger line or more close up camera... thank you, cheerss
Thanks mate!
I think I wasnt working with this app at all
Glad you discovered it now, for a free app it's very good!
Hello. I have 3 questions. 1) What kind of iPad do you use? 2) Do you use some sort of screen protector/enhancer for the iPad? and 3) Where can I get one of those gloves you have? Thank you!
1) This was the iPad Pro 2018 version
2) Nope I draw straight on the screen without any sort of protector
3) it's called a smudge guard, you can get it from amazon or local art supply store
@@robertlkiss Thank you!
Very nice!
Thanks
thoughts on sketchbook vs procreate primarily for Industrial Design sketching?
Sketchbook on PC procreate on iPad
@@robertlkiss Sweet, thanks ;)
Can you create layer masks in the tablet/mobile app?
No you can not.
Where do we find that cloth you wearing in your hand?
it's called a Smudge Guard, you can get it on amazon, maybe also your local art shop.

Thanks for subbing! Really appreciate it!

Glad you think so!
I just bought a tablet with Sketchbook on it. First, THANK YOU for the tutorial. My question is, How Do You Close The Program???? I don't see any X or any way that says close, I have to turn off the tablet to escape.😔
It depends on the tablet. I'm only familiar with the iPad where you swipe from the bottom and then you see all the apps that are open and swipe the ones away you want to close. I don't know how other tablets work.
Hi.Can we reduce or increase font's size on T-button of this app?
In all apps that have font tool you have the option to adjust the font properties.
Where is the glove from? Amazing tutorial btw
Thank you. I got it from Amazon.
After finished the darwing how to save file as a png can u tell..?
Long tap on your file to select it, share in the right bottom corner and share as png
Is there any book for reference for study in industrial design?
Have you seen the Koos Eissen books, are those something you might be looking for?
I can't save work in layers, even though I set psd on the tablet, I probably didn't press well on something, I go back to work, all the layers disappear
Thank you very much :) No need to answer the movie was very helpful
Am i the only one who expected from robert to say.. Yeeeeeeah to close the intro 😂????
Yes, yes you are :p
hello, can we use it on laptop without a pen? is pen necessary? i dont have tht touch screen laptop:(
Hello , it is a drawing app so some sort of a pen is necessary to get nice results
