Pity Lou never met Peggy! especially the way Lou shouted “get outta my house!” Two formidable matriarchs from two different eras, I can see Lou had she lived being rather smug if she knew about Mark Jnr and Peggy didn’t
Lou Beale and Peggy Mitchell have one thing in common. Both are the former mother-in-law of Kathy Beale from her marriages to Lou’s son Pete Beale and Peggy’s son Phil Mitchell
According too the EE back story the Mitchell's used too live in Walford during the 1960s and 1970s so Lou probs did know Peggy according too the back story anyway I mean pat did and so did Pauline and Ted hills etc
I would say that Lou & Peggy were more alike, but from different eras, Lou harks back to the 1920s-40s East End while Peggy represents the 1950s-60s East End
they all need acting lessons to think you brits are entertained by the same crap soaps for decade after decade, think you would get bored with them, but you give them awards! oh well whatever makes you happy i suppose
@@paulr75 Yes, I don't watch them. This scene just happens to feature my friends dad (the detective). However, Hollywood is also predictable trite as well, every time I watch a majority of Hollywood movies I can guess nearly everything that happens. So, realistically, you're most likely guilty of watching the same old stories reworked slightly differently, also.
Dear old Lou what a ledgend she was proper tough old east londoner one of the best characters ever!!
This was proper TV Theatre! Amazing stuff when you consider the relentless garbage we have to endure now
Nans back then had so much protection for their family and Anna Wing portrayed it so well.

GIT AHT OF MY HOUSE! Lou was also a distant relative of Mick Carter-that's how he got the same accent, innit! So, they're ALL somehow related!😀😀😀
