This excellent Frigidaire FAD504DWD 50-Pint dehumidifier is a life saver! It is not too loud, easy to use & very effective. I don't think you can beat the specs for this unit at a cheaper price.

This Frigidaire dehumidifier 50 pint does an incredible job. It is not very noisy and perfect for my use.
Also, the Frigidaire FAD504DWD is easy to use, basically you take it out of the box and plug it in. It has done a great job knocking down the moisture in the basement. I was amazed at the amount of water that it pulls from the air.
The tank can fill quickly but that's a good thing, that's what it's supposed to do. That said placing the unit near a floor drain and using a short hose is going to greatly reduce maintenance. You should expect to need to empty the tank a couple of times a day for the first couple weeks, by then you should have the moisture level down to something manageable.
With this new Frigidaire High Efficiency Dehumidifier 50-Pint, our house is comfortable once again and temperatures more consistent; also with less moisture in the air, the possibility of mold forming is greatly reduced. Highly recommend.
