That swing is a really nice touch, as is the gate to the Havana lounging area, it reminds me of a neighborhood type feel of sitting on your front porch talking to your neighbors as they walk by.

I know the pool is small, but I love the steps to sit on. I take a book and cozy up on a step with my iced tea to pass a few hours!

If you keep rotating the balcony door latch into the pointed down position it makes the door rise onto the rollers and wheels easily, great review overall 👏👏

@@TheTravelScouts yes we ran into you both several times. I just don’t think y’all were ever together when when we would see you. LOL I felt that particular room was a better option because it seemed to be more private due to location and we loved that. We really enjoyed the pool and deck area…I did more than my husband but I’m the more swimming/sunbathing type. I found the best time to go was first thing in the morning before others made it out there. Sometimes the pool would be empty and the next thing you know it’s full of people. It did always seem to be the same people though…which was good and bad! The only downfall was that depending on the direction we were going, the sun would not be on that side of the ship. It was either in the morning or afternoon. As a result, you didn’t get the sun all day like you would on the Lido or at the other pools. So if that’s important to someone then the Havana area may not appeal to them. Love watching your videos by the way!

Thank you so much for this video. I had been curious about how the Mardi Gras Havana area compared to the Havana area on the Vista and Horizon. I have a cabana booked on this ship later this year and I definitely will be exchanging it for an Excel Suite. I am extremely disappointed with this Cabana area. You get less than one would usually get on other ships.
They crammed in more rooms in this category. Thus downsizing the rooms. I agree.
Completely agree, less useable deck space, smaller pool, no hot tubs yet MORE Havana rooms? Ruins the appeal IMO. They are really trying to push people into Suites and Lofts I suppose

Quick question. Is there a way to lock the balcony sliding door? Or do you have to lock from inside and then go to the outside area from the main cabin door? Thanks.
Door handle goes straight down. Slides w ease.
Do you need a Havana wristband in order to get into the Havana Corredor from the elevator area on the celebration? Or is the Havana area corner open to the public?

We are booked in a suite on the Mardi Gras next year. It's our first suite so we're pretty excited! (We had cruise credit from a cancelled cruise so decided to splurge.) Next cruise after that, I want to book a Havanah Cabin. The perks to me are the patios and private pool area. I wonder if I'd miss the action of the lido deck at all?? Can you hear any music at the Havanah pool?

Wow, do you work part time for Carnival? I'm never seen a sales rep as over the top excited as this.
Everyone can make their own personal decision. For us, and about 4,000 other passengers, it was a yes. No Covid cases reported to my knowledge.
do you know if cabins on deck 9 are loud above atrium?
Some people have said they can hear noise/music but I don't think its terrible
Do you have a tour in the extended cabins?
Unfortunately, we did not get that one.
LD loved your channel on the Mardi Gras.I think there could be issue shower glass unless it is unbreakable.Everyone is not careful around glass.Broken glass and cuts
How expensive are they?
Is the back walkway completely private, so people cant walk by and see you?
We actually stayed in this room on the inaugural cruise. Very private. There is a door at the end of the deck but I don’t think anyone knew it was there. It actually took us a few days to realize it ourselves! This room is on the opposite side of the pool and bar area so not a main walk-through area which we enjoyed. Only issue is that the other balcony rooms can look down on you. The pool and bar are very easy to get to from this room. Just walk towards the elevators but go straight across the hall and through the door and you’re there.

I luv that Carnival figured out a way to make money off communist Cuba themed luxury cabins on cruise ships. Thanks for sharing.
Cuba is more than that system, much more than that dictatorship! Cuba is a beautiful Isle, with beautiful people, stunning landscapes and beaches!
I do like those huge mirrors, but it sure seems like most of the cabins are considerably narrower than on most other cruise ships. I also don't like the TV being in front of the bed. What if you want to watch TV while sitting on the couch? And oh! I hope you like your neighbors. I would not like that balcony. Overall, after watching all of your cabin tours from the Mardi Gras, I am not thrilled with the design of these rooms. I suspect that they tried to cram in as many cabins as possible and as a result you're really losing out on space/breathing room within your cabin. I'm always viewing rooms from the perspective of having at least 3 of us in one room. This is disappointing because Carnival has always been known for having some of the largest standard cabins in the cruise industry, but these just seem really narrow and tight.
There is very little privacy on these balcony areas for sure!
@@TheTravelScouts That is what I was worried about. I don't want people walking by while I am sunning my chubby body. Also neighbors on both sides to see you as well. Now it would be OK if traveling with family on either side.

Horizons Havana area is so much better :(
State room is too small and you have to walk sideways to get around the bed to the balcony. Definitely not worth the money for a Carnival cruise.
