I hate the fact that almost every brand of bottled water I've had tastes like pure plastic

When I was deployed in Afghanistan the FOB didn't have full plumbing. To keep everyone hydrated they kept pallets of bottled water scattered around so that anyone could just walk out of whatever building they were in and get water.
In case you missed it, I just said that pallets of plastic bottles of water were kept in the sun and literal desert heat and it was our only source of drinking water away from the chow hall.
One day a doctor is going to ask me why my bones are 50% plastic.

Selling water from rich sources is entirely valid. The industrial tap water we get in our homes isn’t the same quality
Two things wrong with that:
1. It’s the same water. Mate, *they get it from the tap!*
2. There are no ‘rich sources’ of water anymore. Wanna know why? _Because they’re all full of plastic bottles!_

Bottled water is often filtered so much they have to add minerals and stuff back into it's before bottled so it has a "taste."

In many places, bottled water is less sanitary than tap water.
Unfortunately I live in a rural area where testing found out our water tap had elevated amounts of manganese in it so i consider our tap water not potable because of potential (but unlikely) health risks. Recently we got a water machine with the 5 lb jugs we refill at the local primo station at walmart. Much better tasting than the bottled and cheaper long term as well. If you live with completely safe drinking water theres no reason not to just use the tap.
