I am a foster mama of a husky that just delivered hours ago! We believe she came out of a puppy mill since there were 12 other huskies in there with her many pregnant. omgosh, i just fostered a rescue dog, literally taken off the euth table, and now she has turned up pregnant and i have never had puppies, so i am trying to get a crash course here

They're great dogs. My friend had one that was really tough. Ito.... He got him during the O.J. Simpson trial so he named him after Judge Ito. Lol He survived being kicked by a horse, accidentally hit by the mailman and being kept outside in a cool shady place. He also loved floating in the pool on a raft and would ride on the quad and in the car. Ito died peacefully well into his teens. Good pet and nice dog. My friend really misses him.

Ito was a great pet. But.... He had two bad habits. Wasn't fond of other animals which was why the horse kicked him and he would sometimes chase a car and not move out of the way. It was funny how the big German Shepherd they had would circle around him to cut him off and protect him from the car. But she tried to save him from himself so to speak. Funny story they had a pet parade for the kids when Eric's daughter was small. They took Ito and he wasn't fond of the other entrants. Tried to snack on a miniature goat in fact and another child's cat. Lol. Fortunately my friend caught his harness in time. Nice dog other than that.😀

I’m so so sorry!! My heart breaks for you. Unfortunately this is so common. Bulldogs are so clumsy and just don’t realize what they are doing sometimes. I pray the rest of the litter will thrive ❤️🐾

Am a new subscriber. Our Chloe just gave birth on 3/6 and your videos helps alot. This is our first litter with 8 healthy pups. I'm from PH so the weather is good in maintaining our pups body temp. We still used heating lamp to be sure they are still getting the warmth they need.

Breeding hasn't been so bad. Lots of poop and cuteness. Females can be taught to be careful when stepping around the puppies. Some have a harder time with it than others.
I never take my pups from the mother until they are eating mush on there own to were they don't need to feed off mom but great information on dog breeding
I just lost a frenchie puppy this is my 3rd litter this is the first time I ever lost one I never separated the mom and the puppies but I definitely learned my lesson it was very sad to lose a puppy

I wish to God I would have watched this before paying out so much money to breed my pug... I had to take my mom to the er and she delivered without me and I came home to 5 dead, 1 alive, as she didn't know what to do. It's a miracle I saved the one that was still in sack cold so we have 2. She didn't have the "instinct"which I had EVERYTHING PREPARED to help but wasn't here to do so. She had finally taken to mothering but I wonder if the two runts(had they not been the last 2 I wouldn't have been able to save them "😢 ANYWAY moving forwardin trying to determine if they are getting enough milk especially being the runts(smaller compared to others &the one was about dead but I stimulated him back) 3 days she is still having a dark discharge... is this o.k?

Was this her first litter? For the first day, I had to hold mamma down until she got the hang of it. This was her first time and once she got the hang of it, she was an excellent mamma. We have raised 5 out of 5, but it hasn't always been the case. Love this video. My vet just handed me a tray full of screaming babies my first time and said "You know you have to raise them yourself for the first two weeks?" I learned real fast that this wasn't like German Shepherds :-)
No this wasn’t her first. She’s a sweet momma but loves her humans and rather get up and be where they are then Kay down and feed babies. We have to make her stay down sometimes.

You seem like a very nice couple. I can see you are reputable. I just want to urge anyone in the puppy/dog market to consider rescuing first. Good breeders have their place. Especially if someone is looking for that "dream dog" or "dream breed".
I do understand that. But if it is just a companion/family dog situation, please consider rescues!! I have never bought a dog for it's breed. Always rescued. At 51 now, that's about 8 different pups. 7 were wonderful, wonderful members of the family. And 1 was a bad boy, but we loved him anyways. 😂🙄
This is true! We do totally understand the importance of rescue. It’s heart breaking the number of people who buy a dog and then don’t take care of it. Your doing a wonderful thing! We are thankful there are compassionate people like you that rescue. ❤️
Absolutely great advice, I tried rescuing a Bulldog first but my local reacue will not place an English Bulldog rescue with a family that has no experience with bulldogs previously, so that’s what led my husband and I to purchase our first from a reputable breeder, we’re on a waiting list with a rescue now for another, as our bully is 4 and now we have experience

I have Akita puppies and currently after 2 sad puppy deaths I moved them to my room. Since then the mother won’t deal with them. I made a video about it called Akita puppies ( day 4) I would really appreciate some feedback because I’m a wreck over the 2 losses. It is my first ever litter.

How long would you have to stay with the puppies 24/7? When is it okay for you to leave them with their momma? Thanks for your informative videos
It’s hard to say exactly. It really depends on how the mom is. Some moms we never leave them with alone. At 3.5 weeks they start eating gruel you can kinda leave them alone then but not with mom. We separate them and just bring them together a few times a day. I hope this answers your question. Congratulations on your litter. We are here to help any way we can.

So you actually keep your puppies separated from the mom, just put them in with her to feed every two hours? How long do you let them nurse for? Also how old are they when you let them stay with her all by themselves? Thanks for the video!
Correct, we separate them in a sense but she can get to them if she wants. We let them feed for 45 min then wash, rinse and repeat lol. By 2 weeks old they can be with her all the time it’s just up to her. Most of the time she’s trying to escape them by then except for feeding time

Sounds like the puppies are not staying warm enough. You need to get them heat fast and try Karo to get their blood sugar back up

Yes regular baby wipes. They usually eat for about 30-45 mins. Gets shorter as they get older
@@HouseofWrinkles have you guys ever had any litters that the momma reject ? if so what recommendation for situation where the puppies not getting milk from the momma ?
We haven’t experienced that problem before but we have had to take care of litters when the mom was too sick or couldn’t. Bottle feeding and keeping them warm is all you can do.
My mamma dog that's a beagel and the dad a jack Russell the mamma gave 10 very small puppy's the first time she only had 4 that was big and the mom only have 7 feeding spots is it normal for like only 1 pup that make noise alot

Sometimes you don’t get poop out every single time but you want to try. Do you have fb? I’m asking because it would be easier to communicate there. I could see your messages quicker and respond easier. The milk coming out could be from drinking too much too fast. You want to try to keep this from happening. When you bottle feed a puppy you have to burp it.
Btw your not supposed to touch the puppies with your hands

We recommend keeping them separate under a heat lamp. You wanna keep the area between 85-90 degrees fahrenheit. It is very critical they keep warm

The bulb is a 60 watt bulb. Move the lamp closer or further away to get the desired temp.

No we have never used anything like that but I’m not saying it’s not a great idea. We have heard good things about it , just have never tried it so I can’t say.

Yes this is normal. In some cases it’s almost impossible to separate them. Some moms are extremely attached and that actually means she’s a good mom.
Okay so I have a question. My dog mated for the first time ever on the 7th of this month. Does that mean 100% she is pregnant now. It is kind of a long story. We have this male dog that runs around the neighborhood,and I swear he comes around she my female dog is in heat. I haven't seen him in a while since she is no longer in heat. People are telling me she is pregnant but iam just not seeing any changes; all though it's just been a couple of days.
Hi! My advise is to keep up with the dates and keep an eye on her. It’s basically a 50/50 chance she is. Dogs carry their pups for 60-63 days.

Do you use an incubator for your pups or does the heating lamp work just fine?
They should not need an incubator if u have a lamp or pads but ppl like to use incubators for when they sleep to kno pups would get smushed with mom or for traveling or pups who need extra care
We don’t use an incubator. The lamp has worked great for us but the incubator is an excellent thing to have. We haven’t invested in one yet. Maybe some day.

That’s what we recommend for English Bulldogs. Some other breeds that may not be necessary

What can I give my dog so she can have more milk?
Goats milk or puppy milk replacement. Pour it in her food. Her milk will flow like crazy
We have a American bully.. She had a singleton.. we are on hour 5… we can’t get our girl to lay down and feed her pup.. she seems rough.. she keeps pushing on him with her nose hard… any tips please??
Sometimes they do push them around kinda hard. That’s not necessarily uncommon. And if it’s her first pup she may not cooperate. If it’s been 5 hours you need to either make her feed or prepare to bottle feed ASAP.
Getting her to cooperate is all up to you and her. Sometimes if the mom isn’t aggressive you can get her to lay down and then lay with her while the pup feeds.
With Zoe her first litter we had to kinda make her lay down. Then I took a cool cloth and rubbed her head to relax her

It seemed like he was always hungry. She’s a good mom now. She so gentle with him now. We still let her clean him even though we started bottle feeding. He is 11 days old now

How much is it for a English bulldog?
It all depends on color and registration. Usually somewhere between 2,000-5,000. It really just all depends on the breeder as well.

They should feed on mom for at least 30mins each feeding at ages 1-2 weeks. Then as they get older the time shortens

The puppy needs to be eating at least 15-30 mins.
Does all your tips also apply to lab’s
Most of these tips will apply with any breed but some are specific to EB. Labs don’t typically have a C-section. And they also care for their pups themselves 24/7 in most cases. Therefore the lamp would not be needed unless the mom abandons her pups.
