- Hi everyone! I’m super excited to share this fabric junk journal that I created for Tim Holtz’s idea-ology release for 2020. This book was so much fun to put together and such a thrill to be a part of this amazing release!

I just absolutely love this album! What a wonderful talent you have been given to be able to do this. I am just now getting into the journaling. I have made one journal, a garden diary, with the Tim Holtz traveler's journal. I used it last year to plan my flowers and vegetable garden and then used it to journal the results of what I had planted. I will be using it again this year to do the same. I hope I can find some of the emphera you used in this album. I want to make my own Tim Holtz album now that I have seen this. I am rambling on, but just know that I love your work and will be looking forward to many more by you!
Thank you so much! I love that you’ve used the Tim travel folio for your garden journal…such a great idea! The ephemera I used is available worldwide so you should be able to find it. I was thinking to use a small rectangle die inside a larger one for this. You can cut notches after if you want. I love old slides....I have boxes of them from when my dad used that type of camera throughout our childhood. I even have ones from when he was in the army in Germany in the ‘50s. Super cool!

love this. did you sew first then glue on the canvas?
I did a little of both. If it wasn’t possible to sew directly onto the fabric I did sew and then glue.

Wow! What a great journal to showcase the new items! It’s so nice to see the Tim Holtz items in a journal. While I use many of his items, sometimes I wonder what I would ever do with some others. Thanks for showing us!

Beautiful, thank you for the inspiration, I have one of these fabric books. What glue do you use so it doesn't seep through or get stiff?
Thank you! I used Distress College Medium in the bottle. It has a pinpoint tip making it easy to get it right where you want it. Fabri-Tac would work too. No matter which you choose, just be sure to use it sparingly. That will prevent it from seeping through. 💕

How did you bind this book?
....that’s the beauty of this book... it comes already bound and stitched around all the page edges to keep from fraying. This is the new Tim Holtz idea-ology Fabric Journal. It will be available any day now.

I enjoyed watching what you created it was beautiful. The only problem I have is that you use the words “you guys” all the time and it gets a little annoying. But I love your ideas and you’re very good at what you do.
