AMAZING DEMO GUYS!! AUTO SUBS!! 3- BEAUTIFUL GUITARS!! The guitars indeed has a slightly different but who care, as long as you play on the same GOOD amps THEY ARE BADASS!!
I am looking for a guitar like this to replace my old epiphone. Tokai is on my top list. Can someone tell me the difference between LC133, LC155, and LC255? Is the higher the number of models, the better the quality? I'm a bit confused about this.
Well first of all tokais tend to be numbered according to price and theyre adjusted for inflation overtime. So a 10 year old 120-30 something is most likely the same as a current 140-150 something model. However, theres levels to this. If you go for the 255 be prepared to pay on the lower end of used lp prices for a higher end model that is easily better than anything in standard gibsons current production run. Even the lower end models like the 155s are better than standard gibsons atm. And finding one for a good price is worth it. Japanese tokais are consistent from one guitar to the next and they guarantee you can buy one online and it will be like the next one and the one after that. In Canada a new lp custom from epiphone these days is going for roughly 1100 cad while a japanese tokai lc 176 with ebony is currently running 1600. That discrepancy of 500$$ for a guitar with the highest standards of build quality for les than half of a new lp standards or even classic still makes the tokai the clear winner. It is time for gibson to return to production in japan with full headstocks if it does not want to continue losing market share like this.
@@Coolbeans1492 Thanks a lot. I also want to know which price of guitars will use nitrocellulose lacquer. Most shopping websites don't elaborate on the painting process.
@@luodave9366 I own a Tokai LC136S SW (Snow White colour) which is made in Japan. However, mine is not Custom Shop. So I am a little confused there. I know mine is not a nitro finish. But I have no idea what the finish is. Although I can tell you it is a very thin finish.
@@nafirimusicjakarta1174 yeah i checked out your website yesterday and also your site on Reverb, man you guys stock gorgeous Tokai guitars. Will any guitar purchase come with a case?

People will buy more Epiphones if the headstock was the same ..and they can’t have that.

Generally speaking yes, but not always.

I love the Japanese made Tokais, but I was pretty impressed with the epiphone. Great video!
Comparing to original Gibson sound, Epiphone has the closest sound...
I agree with you but this could be because of the pickups...
