Diesel engines these day are high Maintenance machinery. even you take good care of this 1KD engine , 300k? maybe that is the maximum life before overhaul.For those 1GR V6 petrol ,change oil and coolant plus air filter regularly…300K still sounds brand new. service and repair cost is low compare with 1KD

Cracked pistons is a design flaw, and you can replace injectors every 20 000 km's, they will still crack eventually. Where are the days when Diesels could sometimes do close to, or over a million km's on the worst diesel and basic engine oils?

Curiously had a 2003 land cruiser last year with cat blocked...spent 5 weeks in a Toyota dealer in France for no power...,..then Randomly one morning while repairing digger i decided to loosen fromtpipe of......Bingo...😂😂
