Looking like a cave from the inside out, Mammoth Hot Springs ⛲ is a must-see atração in Yellowstone National Park 🏞 and very different from other hot springs ♨ in the region.
Mammoth Hot Springs is just south of Yellowstone's northern entrance near the Montana town of Gardiner. The area is accessible by car 🚗 all year round 📆.
Everything in this region was created over thousands of years as the hot spring water cooled. These sources to date deposit more than two tons of calcium carbonate per day.
