- News about my WRC future! I have signed a multi-year contract with Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team and really excited to continue with the great team.
In 2024, we will drive half of the WRC calendar. Felt that this is a good time to have a year like this, and I explain more of the reasons behind this on the video.
See on you the WRC stages and other events next year!
This guy is only 23. The fact that he's been rallying for 15 years to the point of getting burnt out is mind-blowing. His experience and achievements are that of a veteran despite not being far off from his teenage years. I wonder if by 2025, he'll try to beat Loeb's 9-straight WRC titles to increase his tally to 11 championships.
You mean "by 2035" because by 2025 he could have maximum of 4 titles if he somehow won the title next year too on his semi-vacation season and won the title for 2025, right? ;) But, 10 titles would be enought to pass Loeb's record...
@@monksuu - I meant he might start trying to break Loeb's record for 9 straight WRC titles *beginning 2025 (so he needs to win consecutive titles from 2025 to 2035). By racing only half-season in 2024, he will most likely concede the title to someone else (maybe to Ogier, or who knows if Evans can finally break through). So Kalle's consecutive streak will start from scratch in 2025. Granted, this is just assuming Kalle is interested in the record for consecutive titles. Given his age, he has a good chance of beating Loeb's overall tally of 9 titles. Winning them consecutively is quite a tall order.
@@monksuu He can still win the title next year, because he's doing 7 events which is exactly 245 points (210 from the wins + 35 points by winning the PS).

Yeah just like how max verstappen has a chance at breaking the record of 7 world championship given his age and red bull's absolutely dominant car.

Great decision Kalle. It is a testament to your generation's awareness of their mental health & wellbeing that you can take such an approach. There is plenty of time for chasing records, if that ever becomes a wish. In the meantime, you can enjoy whichever events suits you without the pressure of a championship. Damn! I must admit I didn't see this coming. But you need that break. A full year on WRC events is quite challenging. Big up for being a two-time world champion!

Just found out on this channel that Kalle has been doing some big drift events this year as well! He is so exciting and good to watch. Probably one of the best drifter in the world too and he has never competed in a full season yet. Can't wait for the drift world to have this chance to experience one of the best drivers to ever live! Definitely a new world champion in drift is coming, all the best Kalle! And congratulations on back to back WRC titles! What a man!

With PERFECT 7 races (210p) it would be possible, but with six races (180p) still possible, but unlikely enough points. But yeah in theory it is possible if Tänak, Evans, Neuville and Katsuta shares wins and everyone has atleast 2 bad races.

No sit pidän itsekkin välivuoden Rallista, Turha sitä on seurata aktiivisesti jos ei mestari aja täyttä kautta. Ymmärrän toki sua Kallea, Nuori lahjakas mies.. Täähän avaa tietysti mahollisuudet menestyä esim Sardiiniassa, mikä muuten on mahotonta (aura ukkona) Oisko ralli cross, tai jopa nascar kalenterissa ? Jäädään odottelemaan! Onnea ja menestystä!👍👍👍👍
Seems a little young for that, even if it's been a while he's been rallying. This something 50 yr olds like me are considering to do. But I respect his decision, he has the means to do this.

Even on WRC/DiRT Esports it was too much for me and had to quit after some years. I am so glad you made this decision. You are younger than your milestones would suggest so i hope you can fall in love with lots of other categories and have some rest too!

Kysymys kuitenkin herää MM-sarjan tahdista ja mielekkyydestä, kun jo toinen suomalainen huippukuski ilmoittaa, että haluaa omasta tahdostaan ajaa vajaan vuoden. Pitäiskö siis vähentää kisoja ja tiivistää kisakalenteria varsinkin alku ja loppupään osalta. 🤔
Kuukauden välein kisat, nii kyllähän tossa tiivistettävää olisi. Turhat 1-2 ek:n päivät vois kans jättää pois, nii tiivistyis kisaviikonloputkin.

Näin se kuuluu ollakkin. Näytit olevas maailman paras rallissa. Kahesti... Varmasti tekee hyvää välillä tehdä jotain muuta. Muutkin sais esim. F1:ssä ottaa mallia. Ei siellä montaa vuotta tarvii ajaa samoja pystejä voittamassa samojen ihmisten samoilla autoilla.

When i first heard this it got me quite frustrated. But it is Kalle’s choice and for 15 years of driving a rally car, pretty much 2 years of total in a car added up. Fair play to him th at he is part time though
