    Just discovered you, great video.
Couple of points. Would you not be safer just doing a cambelt if needed, as opposed to offering it on a deal basis? If buyer took the reduced price and belt subsequently broke within the warranty period not sure how you'd stand on that in court?
Second point, personally I'd never buy a car again without a fresh Mot. We paid £7000 for a car recently. Asked for a new Mot, dealer refused as current one was 6 months old. Next Mot car failed on emissions, cost us £380 to fix. Lesson learnt.
Good luck for the future, subscribed 👍

@@rogerkretzschmar8280 thanks for the feedback, good couple of points. If you go back and follow my videos from the start, when I started I was doing the cambelt and waterpump on all my cars before I advertised them. I prefer to have them done, and if I was buying a car, I would prefer to have it done. However, I realised I am being too generous and people were still expecting money off or thinking my cars were expensive compared to other cars that were £3-500 cheaper, but the cam belts were extra. So I've now decided to do it this way, as it makes it clear to the customer they are getting something done for the full asking price, and if you want money off then that's the bargaining tool. I feel it's better than advertising a car, and then saying we can do the cambelt for an extra £300 which is what most garages do. On the MOT - we do put all our cars through a 12 month MOT but again I've started to do this after the point of sale, rather than before advertising. The Ibiza for example has been MOT'd by us in April, but has then sat around longer than expected and now needs doing again. It also improves cashflow doing things after a sale has been agreed, so I can have £3000 sat in my bank rather than having 10 cars sat around with 10 new £300 cam belts on 👍 I'll cover all this again in my next video, thanks for the feedback 😊

£3995 sounds about right for the Altea XL. WBAC offer dreadful money for older cars especially, so I wouldn't worry too much about your px price. Easiest way is to reverse engineer your price...see what they sell for, take off your margin and that'll give you your approx px price, especially with such a well maintained example.

@@philh3409 thank you, that's what I did, looked at the autotrader value at 4200, he wanted 2500 which I thought was fair, leaves me a decent margin and hopefully doesn't need too much work. It's not a car I would have risked buying from auction, but having the chance to test drive it and see the MOT history I could see it looks like a good car. I agree with you, looks good value at £3995 👍
