This was the best 'Charlie's Angels' movie ever made to date! Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore played beautiful, sexy, intelligent and powerful characters in those movies. Hollywood really need to up their game if they are to beat or even equal their work.
And it's a follow-up to the original 'Charlie's Angels' series of the 1970s which featured a genre of female leads in an action/drama series w/beautiful, sexy, intelligent and powerful female characters - Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson), Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett), and Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith) of the Charles Townsend Detective Agency. The original series certainly had its flaws and may not pass the'female empowerment' litmus test being imposed in the 2010s/20. Nonetheless, the original CA had a clear message that strong female leads are totally acceptable in the action/drama genre and it inspired subsequent drama series featuring female leads (Cagney & Lacey, Law & Order series, CSI) and the 2000s CA movies of course.

2000 was such a cool year for movies. My favourites are Mission: Impossible II and Charlie's Angels, they had awesome style thanks to the influence of The Matrix a year earlier. They also have the best movie soundtracks imo.
The original theme song is classic. The Apollo 440 one is badass. The 2019 Black Caviar mix is club chill that has elements of music from the 70s and 90s.
