Scary how time flies... The actress playing Miss Baxter (Lynsey Baxter) was about 38 in 1997 when this was made (but really doesn't look it) and is now 61 (2020). Also scary: when I first saw this sketch on TV, I wasn't much older than Kevin, and Miss Baxter was hot. Now I'm closer to his dad's age and, yeah, Miss Baxter is still hot :)
I remember Lynsey in 'The prime of Miss Jean Brodie' TV series and she was later in 'The French Lieutenant's woman' film with Jeremy Irons and Meryl Streep.

I have an original BBC tape cassette audio book of H2G2 and Stephen Moore narrates. The radiophonic workshop did the various voice effects and Stephen made all the characters stand out, like Marvin and the Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz !!

yes, i remember my history teacher well. absolutely couldnt stand the subject, but mysteriously got an A in my final exam! i must have been in an altered state of consciousness in all her classes and everything she said just went straight in or something.

Reminds me of my dad and Mrs Evans the art teacher! He forgot all about the art exhibition and decided to talk to her the entire time. My mum just stood there as he got Mrs Evans very interested in his expansive knowledge of the world, British India, South Africa etc

This is so wonderful. You needn´t worry about people lacking humour, we are on planet Earth and things are not so good as they could be - welcome by the way - we should just realize that they can not see what doesn´t fit in and therefore is funny or what the actors are actually doing and going through. English actors are the best on the planet - my dad used to say that - we are Swedish - I recommend also "Harry Enfield, the two old ladies at the gasstation". This is the best one.
