The fact that he is just now saying sorry AFTER the documentary called him out. And he did the whole Super Bowl again without Janet. That showed where he stood. He doesn’t care.
That was a long time ago. He was very young and selfish. He is now an adult. He knows better now.

The FCC received a record-breaking 500,000 complaints, CBS were fined $550,000, and the NFL had to pay their sponsors $10,000,000 in damages, so Janet wasn't the only one who suffered - as a result of HER performance choices, albeit accidental. They changed the stunt at the last minute, with barely any rehearsal time at that. I get that she's a creative artist, so I'm not blaming her - I have all her albums from the Janet era onwards on CD. But I feel like people want to use JT as the scapegoat because it was his hand. But all he did was what Janet/her team instructed him to. He also stated in 2006 that it was wrong that he only got 10% of the blame, and critiqued the media's harsher treatment of ethic women. Janet also said in an Oprah interview that he reached out to her after the incident. What more to people want - his blood? Lol
@@lveriss After Janet literally apologized Super Bowl postgame and went on an apology tour throughout the whole week and was criticized for not apologizing again during the Grammy ceremonies that same year and Justin didn't say a word. Not only did media and TV companies wanted to force her to apologize, she was also blacklisted and prohibited any sales or distribution of her music worldwide, while Justin went on to have a successful and critically acclaimed career and even did a posthumous hit song with her older brother Michael. Meanwhile Chris Brown wasn't even eligible to drink and was considered a minor when that incident with Rihanna happened and he still has to deal with getting reminded of that.

this doc should be nominated to Oscars, never in history has a doc film had such impact on people's lives, court overruling Britney's father after the movie came out and people started to talk, JT apologizing and wanting it to be a conversation, never any movie made such impact. Janet's career and legacy was DESTROYED after the incident. I'm not blaming all on Justin, but he could've and should've supported her openly. Instead, he continued making fun of the incident. Former CBS-head Les Moonves was so upset with Janet that he demandes Viacom (VH1, MTV, radio stations) to erase all of Janet's music videos and songs from their playlists. The injustice is real, and all of this needs to be exposed ASAP. We need an explosive doc about it and I'm pretty sure it will shock the world.

It’s not the same. Taylor was in fact scrutinized for her songs, but she always owned up to the fact that she wrote these songs, Justin used these moments for leverage in his career even copying sounds and making a joke out of Britney and Janet, only now that the fans have woken up a bit he has to apologize to put himself in the good graces of people 10 plus years later. You missed the point. There is a line of people that SHOULD apologize to Britney and Janet but in my opinion what was done is done and they already look ridiculous for even saying it in the first place. Says a lot about a person and that’s the thing with the media once you say it, it’s out there for the world. People should use their minds and think before they speak. Again, whatever sells more, controversy will always be the root of this, people eat that up. What can we do?

When I think of all the things these women went through and how they've never fully recovered crossing his path, while he kept rising, and it ends with fans bullying him into apologizing, and a PR statement in which he blames the society he is taking advantage from more than his own actions? No. He canno't get away with it (again) so easily.
I want to believe that it’s never too late to apologize but in this circumstance he honestly could’ve said nothing it would have the same affect as that apology. The damage is done, he made it 10 times worse, and didn’t do anything to try and help them. But of course that’s not my apology to except I really look forward to their response.

Most people don't know that JT called Britney before "Cry Me A River" was released to let her know about the lookalike. So they were friendly exes in private yet in PUBLIC he continued to disrespect her and allow the media to play out this "cheating wh---" narrative which tore her down. Nevermind the fact she was clearly so in love with him and devastated about her mistake (one which they both made by the way). He did the same thing to Janet - let her be shamed while he kept silent and got more famous.

I never liked him from the start
After he was silent for years, after he cashed all the checks, long after the Me Too movement started, long after many others stepped up to apologise, and AFTER the documentary, now he wants jump on the bandwagon.

I can understand apologizing to Britney, but why Janet? They both knew what was about to go down, and it was Janets decision to say yes to it, and it was on her body...soo?! She was a willing participant
That's not what was supposed to happen. He was supposed to rip the top layer off only but the whole piece ripped. That was an FCC violation and while Janet was being banned and deals dropped, Timberlake did not defend her nor tell the press it was an accident and making it seem like it was apart of the performance to reveal her nipple.
It would have been better to address it then and in person rather than publicly. I always question the sincerity when people publicly apologize.
