I'm going to show this to anyone who says "UA-camrs don't actually care about their subscribers."
My parents say that they just do it for money and fame. No matter how hard I try and tell the they care about there fans they don't believe me and I want to be a youtuber when I am older

This is by far my favourite work of poetry. Beautifully written, beautifully "composed", beautifully said.
Now I understand why all the professors were telling us that poetry needs to be read aloud to be fully appreciated. It does sound amazing.

This is what UA-cam is to me. UA-camrs like Jack, true, dedicated creators! Jack didn't stick to the standard Vlogging which is how he started off! He creates documentaries and many other things which lets say aren't a popular trend, like "Shed Sessions" but he creates them out of his own interest, he motivates and inspires himself to create content he wants to make, which then goes onto motivating and inspiring his viewers to do the same. Thank you Jack, for being one of those UA-camrs who stuck to what you wanted to do by creating many unique and inspiring videos!

I remember when Jack started to make videos. It was a great experience to follow him and his brother. Now lots of us who were at that time to another side of a monitor decided to make videos as well as these talented guys.

This video means a lot to me. I've been making videos for 8 years, and even though I haven't gotten particularly big on UA-cam I still keep up with it because of all the support I get from the people who do watch my videos. I love making videos, and I have poured over a month of work into a single video before. And when something like that doesn't get a lot of recognition, even if you're really proud of it, it can be extremely discouraging. But I have extremely supportive subscribers, some of which have been watching me for years. If it weren't for them I don't even know where I or my channel would be. The importance of their support seriously can't be stressed enough.

I miss you a lot. I know you've grown up and have gone a long way to where you are now, successful and being so inspiring. I'm 17 now and I remember watching your videos when I was 12 and I just loved your adorable face and gorgeous eyes. I too have grown but I'm just going through my old UA-cam subscription list and watching all the old videos because I'm missing my pre teen years and how you and lots of other youtubers were my friends making me laugh and being there for me (through the internet) when I felt alone thanks a lot for being who you are, Finn too :)
This video was honestly one of the most thought out videos I've seen in quite some time. It was simple yet to the point. This is why I look up to you, as an inspiring UA-camr you aren't like the rest. Your videos have such a professional different quality about them. So unique and there is no one else like you. This video is a prime example of one of the reasons why I painted the JacksGap cartoon logo thingy back in 2012 on a canvas and why it's still on my wall, in the same exact place, to this day. You are such an inspiration to me, not only as a content creator, but as a person. You, Finn, and the rest of the JacksGap crew seem so passionate about what you do and I admire that so, so, SO much. Keep doing you and keep making the videos that make you happy, 'cos they make me really happy, too.

I remember this was the first video I saw before I subscribed to JacksGap I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I've subscribed, so glad I did and I love that you guys are doing the things that you love and I know you have matured but I have to admit that I do miss the old days and when Jack was a little more silly.
Another dedicated fan. Nicee, same here. I do miss the old days but it's great to see them doing what they love and changing the world. I been seeing lots of comments lately how people are unsubscribing from them since their taking forever to upload and want fun videos. But all I can say to those people is that their changing the world and are doing something Productive and amazing if you can't except it then don't comment those comments like that.
I also really miss thier old videos. And have been subscribed to them for years. The growth I've seen in thier filmmaking, thier content , thier creativity and most importantly thier passion is tremendous. Though I don't know them personally or vice versa , but I'm still very proud of what they've achieved. And though they haven't been uploading any videos for quiet a few months , I bet there are many people who'd be excited to see thier content

I've always said this: I never get mad at you for not posting every single week, because I understand you take time to create something really unique, you don't just post a video because you want more views, when you post something it's something well prepared and creative, you are one of the few people I know on UA-cam that actually use youtube as a platform to post quality content and not take advantage of their looks to get something.

I was thinking the exact same thing
don't get me wrong, I love watching morning routines and other content like that, and I know how much effort they put into those videos. but jack (and finn) travel around the world, not for fun trips, but to make a difference. the fact that jack wrote a rhyming poem that lasted almost three minutes says something about his character. I will continue to love their videos and support them for whatever they do.
Jack I come back to this video all the time. Sometimes things just speak to a part of you and this really inspires me. I appreciate you Jack! Thank you.

I'm not quite sure, but I thought it was Spoken Word Poetry, because it didn't have the aggressive (strong and with a lot of fluctuations) voice colors of a slam poetry. But I could be wrong.

This is beautiful. It gives me hope to know that there exist channels in which not only the audience grows, but the content creators grow with it. I'm a relatively recent subscriber and don't know how Jacksgap took off the ground, but from what people have said, and what I see today, it seems like it has evolved into something that is truly inspiring and meaningful, and on a platform that sometimes seems to glorify the exact opposite. You can't expect people to be stagnant and not grow, and I think it is commendable that Jack and Finn are shaping their channel to grow with them.
I already watched this video over and over so many times, but after I learned about some huge channels did something so disturbing I came back here to watch this again. Its almost like a ritual to me to clean away all the stress and remind the original value of the UA-cam and its essence. Yes. This is what UA-cam was about and it was what I loved about UA-cam. But a lot of creators and 'You's, which are subscribers, now seem like they forgot or not even aware of it. Unfortunately 'those who use their power to abuse' are heavily influencing millions of subscribers and those influences are often very toxic. Subscribers, who might later lead this platform in the future, are also looking for abuses and feuds that will last less than a week. They don't seek the creativity or passion anymore.
So I am thanking back to you, Jack, you are one of the very first UA-cam channels I have ever subscribed and watched since 2009 and I am glad that you are not one of them mentioned above. Thank you for this video especially.

This was Beautiful. Not because Jack was in it (as some may call him that or other such words) but because there was effort and time put into it. But not only that, but because there was a hearts passion in those words. Congrats Jack, You've become more than just a Content Creator but man with a passion and a direction in which you wish to go. Something most often hard to find in someone, or anyone in fact.

Wow this video took my breath away, I only started making UA-cam videos/ Vlogs 1 month ago & I've found it hard, My girlfriend doesn't understand, My family & friends don't know but at the end of the day, It makes me smile. I hit 200 subscribers last week, Honestly the best moment of 2014. And Jack's video today has made me realise those 200 subscribers care & love what I do, Just because bigger UA-camrs have millions, Doesn't make me a bad UA-camr, I'm just unheard & not at lucky, But that won't stop me doing what makes me smile..
