Ken's comments after the game were perfect ✈️🤣 he spoke on behalf of a lot of aussies sentiments
This win has filled a hole that the 2014 prelim left in my soul. A lot of work left to do, but beating hawthorn was a great achievement for us.
Crazy to think that prelim was 10 years ago now too! So happy we got our vengeance 🥰 now we just need to back it up with a flag 🍐🔥
I see absolutely nothing wrong with what ken did so much rather have a coach who shows emotion and passion than one who doesn't and quite simply jack ginnivan shouldn't have open he's mouth first did he really expect no backlash if you can't take it don't give it

What a deserved win, our tackling was outstanding, Jase and Logan stood up really well and everyone was going after that ball with so much hunger. I really feel for Todd, he played very well until he had to go down to the rooms, as bad as a lot of people say about Ken post game, thats just a coach standing up for his club that he loves after going through such a hellish week. Please boys bring that game and intensity next week, of we do, we might just see us in that final game in September. Go Port!!! 🍐⚡️
Can we get a message to our cheer squad…. It’s not about cheering when the boys are ahead. It’s more important to keep the crowd going and cheering when we are behind and especially when the ball is at that end of the ground. I was very disappointed!!!

In all honesty I was next to the cheer squad and no bullshit- when hawks were coming hard and the hawks chant started Port cheer squad started the power chant to drown it out… I actually thought the stoic resilience of the crowd was awesome
@@Lucifer-Invictus we just noticed too many times they were quiet and no movement at all while hawks side was going on and on 🤷
I can’t recall ever being so invested in a game. Never carried on like I did after a game - hugging, fist-pumping & cursing the doubters! When backs are against the wall Port will come out & fight. So proud. Still so high days after! Exhilarating! Pride! Love! No words can capture this one … always believed! I bet Ken wanted to say much much more to his doubters … Ginni gave him an outlet. Sicily needs to grow up!
The umps tried their best. Without the influence from there I think we would have won by alot more. Anyhow. We have a good record against Sydney and we have won all of Friday night games in 2024🤞🤞🤞
burgoyne best on ground in my opinion. What i really love about the kid aside from his speed and skills is his courage he throws himself into everything and his tackling his great so happy to watch him play like that
Just wish we added more scoreboard pressure to reward our effort. Then the soft hawk goals wouldn't of mattered. But a win is a win! Loving the classic jacket

The umpires tried their best to get Hawthorn across the line.
Their first three goals were from very dubious decisions.

Their fourth was the worst. The ball was clearly over the line with the boundary umpire 2 metres away. Don’t be so forgiving of the umpire.

Richmond fan here. Hawthorn definitely not my second team I was barracking for Port so congratulations on the win
Next week will be a cracker. The boys should be going to Sydney with no fear, no monkeys on their backs whatsoever. They can go on to seek the ultimate prize if they play for each other, protect each other, and outplay the opposition. Good luck lads, hopefully you don't have to play against terrible umpiring as well.

People find any excuse they can to hate on Port. If the roles were reversed nobody would care.

Found it funny that the three commentators that didn’t like the Ken Hinkley incident all played for hawthorn previously. Derm, hodge and Lewis. Cry me a river!!!!

The good Port are back. That was more like it. I fancy our chances again now. I'd be happy with 50/50 umpires rather than that farce of free goals for the Hawks last night.
That's right that's why so many port people were very diss appointed with so many of their lack lustre efforts. Hence that booing That was the old Port style. That should bevthere every week. Even with there 2 guns out they still got it done cause they aways had the list. The list was aways good enough that's why port fans have had enough when previously KH has never committed to that with words. But is he just going for a ride again and next week the other woke port rock up. We shall see. I think they got the list aways did. Just lost that commitment to win but it came out last night

We need to support Ken here. He was defending Port players and what he said was incredibly mild. No one is sending Ginnivan a 'please explain' for what he said.

For those who criticize Ken, the Hawthorn coach and former players, GROW THE FUCK UP. Ken said nothing wrong and he said it with a smile on his face. The AFL are investigating, if you compare it to what Clarkson, Hardwick and other coaches have said and done, it's nothing. Great effort. So proud of all concerned...

Jase Burgoyne was awesome. In 2 years, after a bit of weight gain, he's gonna be elite.
Logan Evans has been an amazing addition.
Miles Bergman should be in the AA squad.
Also think Josh Sinn deserves a mention. He has had to wait for his opportunities, but particularly early when they needed a stable and solid start he held his own.
It's going to be a tough run to Sydney (and beyond).
But weve got some depth.

I was hard on Marshall earlier in the year, but I was pleased by his last two performances as short as they were. He was going much harder in the contest. He just needs to start wearing a helmet.
Only thing I have to say is I wish we could kick straight, get some goals
That was epic Game atmosphere last night I was at the game the grand final Geelong v Power\ Sydney I am nervous we are playing Sydney I go for both it will be hard to watch
I have mixed feelings. I feel like we should have been at least two extra goals up by the 2 minute mark, if it wasn't for the umpires. But, we also should have lost if that last kick went straight. Ultimately, why I think 12 teams have bounced back, after being smashed in the first final, is because of the way the finals are structured. We just keep witnessing the difference between top four and bottom four.
Yeah power💪💪🏆🏆 deserved that win, hawks lucky umpires on hawks side, most times, but still win gutsy win for port , im so proud of the lads , butters is a giant killer , so awesome to watch, let’s go port 💪💪🏆🏆

Burgoyne was great to see have a game like that. But Rioli is why that game was won; without him, we're soft and squishy like marshmallows, and he was a rock. BZK and Aliir were very good. Let's not be silly though, Hawthorn didn't show up. None of their forwards were noticeable in any way. The wizard was a frail old man behind a curtain, I wondered if Ginnivan was even playing, I think Dear was a hologram. They scored and it was a close match, but 30 of those points should have been credited to umpires. We came out with pressure and couldn't sustain it past 14 minutes. There's still no chance of a premiership. It was just nice to see a game where they were actually trying.
I don't get at all why people are talking about Hinkley vs. Ginnivan. Ginnivan opened that door; how do people think it's not going to be walked through? I'm off to troll his social media in about 16 seconds. Are you still going to see your friend in 8 days Jack? That's good, to have holiday plans.
I love Todd Marshall so much, but this has to be the end? I feel like in his last six minutes of football, he's had six concussions. It shouldn't even be possible that somebody is that fragile, but regardless, there's gotta be a doctor telling him his brain is not capable of surviving another minute playing sports in his body.
Popular opinion seems to be Dixon drawing back in for Todd. Did Lord go to prison? How could he not be selected before both of them? Honestly, I'd like to Visentini get another crack before Dixon planting himself like a tree again. Tall, tough, fights, and gives you backup in the ruck. I guess we'll see. Frank Evans and Mead were painful to watch; there could be some movement there as well without tears being shed.

The best is yet to come. I hope Port beat Syd in the preliminary. If they loose to Syd port and K clickbait H will go down in afl history as the biggest laugh after he's lowering himself to ginnis level. Ginni may have the biggest laugh of his life on Ken next week lol Stand by. It might become a big learning lesson to Ken next week if he looses.
