Long story short im an avid fish keeper and have fish tanks all over my house I had just transferred a fish from an old tank that I decided to let grow out with my live plants. About a week later I noticed one of these damselfly nymphs in the tank! At first I didn’t know what it was and was a little freaked out but after a quick google I found out it was indeed an damselfly nymph. I made the decision to let the little guy live in the tank until he was ready. This morning (about a month later) I went to that same tank to find a fresh empty nymph husk on one of my floating plants frogbit then noticed an adult damselfly just sitting on the rim of the tank! so I cupped him in a cup and let him fly away! Such a cool experience.
This is amazing! I recently found some damselfly larvae in one of my aquariums, I released them and hope they can complete their lifecycle! Very interesting
Hey! I'm the same, I was going to let mine go but it's winter so I'm not so sure anymore, you wouldn't happen to know anything about where and when I should let it go? Or maybe what to feed it perhaps in case I have to keep it?

Wish I could upload a photo of it on here but I can’t. It was like a chrome green and was absolutely beautiful!!
Minutes later it was probably eaten by a bird.
Thanks for posting a video for the people who already know the difference between a Damsel fly and a dragonfly😊
They are very interesting. Thank you ...

Hmm not sure! There is a lot of useful information online, I released mine into a local creek, if you have a spare aquarium might be fun to watch 👍🏼
It's so cool that they can go underwater
Yeah
the heart shape they make is wonderfully romanti...sorry i mean sarcastic. love? nah. 'love' is just sperm transfer
Lol...lmao! What if he forgets which pocket his sperns in!!
how long to adult damselflies live? Do they eat mosquitoes for three days, three weeks, three years?!
The music is amazing
I thought damselfly is the baby form then turn into dragonfly
But I was a lie
Not a lie-simply a mistaken belief.
I thought it too. Until Grade 8 Science.
I love damselflies!
Watch this with the sound off and Loyle Carners 'Damselfly' on..
